With thousands of food samples, DJs, gigantic art installations and roving entertainment to enjoy, TASTE is set to be a feast for the senses at Curtin Exchange on Saturday 13 April.

Launched last year, Curtin Exchange is a foodie precinct filled with culinary delights for all (not just students); with anyone able to pop in for a beautiful bite at the likes of Banh Mizzle, Milky Lane, Pretzel, Seoul Bros and more.

And TASTE will be an awesome opportunity to get properly acquainted with Curtin Exchange, an event for lovers of food and good times, like special guest Melissa Leong, an accomplished food and travel writer, television host, radio broadcaster and cookbook editor:

“I’m really looking forward to exploring, tasting and experiencing Exchange,” she says. “I hate food FOMO, so I can’t wait to explore the precinct, get involved in the fun and try a little bit of everything.”

Providing plenty of photo opportunities, the precinct will come to life with soaring 6-metre-high illuminated mushrooms as part of the WA premiere of Sydney art studio Amigo & Amigo’s Shrooms.

You can also expect to find other immersive, larger than life installations, from a giant egg carton to a 3-metre tall gumball machine and oversized waffle house, with plenty of free sample awaiting your discovery.

Among the giant inflatable artworks, you’ll also find plenty of different cuisines to try on your culinary journey at Exchange, from authentic Vietnamese delights and Korean street food to delicious burgers and pizza.

Plus, the foodie fun extends to furry friends too, with free doggy snack packs available for your puppy pals to enjoy as you eat and explore.

Along with the art installations, food options and entertainment, TASTE will also host competitions and giveaways, including a Tucker Fresh IGA $5,000 Golden Ticket for those who spend $30 or more.

Curtin spokesperson Saskia Valenti wants everyone to experience Exchange, which is open seven days a week and isn’t just for the campus crowd: “It doesn’t matter if you’re just coming for a quick bite, you’d like to settle in and explore Shrooms, you’re strolling down with your pooch or you want to stay and play all day, TASTE will have something for everyone to enjoy.”

TASTE will run between 11am til 4pm on Saturday 13 April at Curtin Exchange with free parking across campus – find out more here.
