After months of anticipation Yagan Square’s official reopening is finally here!

Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April will features two huge days and nights of entertainment, including a free family-friendly event alongside the much-anticipated launch of Stories.

First up, Illuminate Yagan Square is a free event offering a plethora of family-friendly activities and night-time entertainment across both days, with five spaces featuring 50 simultaneous, free activations from 11am til late each day.

We’re talking a one-of-a-kind LED Light Maze, entertainment acts, aerial performers, food trucks, the Second Life Markets (Sunday), large scale puppetry show (GLOW-GLEAM-DREAM, Saturday) and Noongar culture with KAYA by Phil Walleystack (Sunday).

The huge program also includes live music in the amphitheatre from day into night and heaps to keep the kids happy, including the launch of the new Yagan Square playground.

For the big kids out there, the mammoth, multi-venue Stories arrival lands with a bang for two huge nights of partying, offering punters’ the first chance to explore:

  • Five levels
  • Nine bars
  • Open air dance floor
  • Secret bar
  • The city’s biggest beer garden
  • Roving performers
