<p>The new Yagan Square unveiled over one huge FREE weekender &#8211; ILLUMINATE YAGAN SQUARE.</p>

<p>Yagan Square is set to officially reopen and unveil the new-look precinct with a massive weekend celebration on Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28. ILLUMINATE YAGAN SQUARE is a free event that offers a multitude of family-friendly activities and night-time entertainment across a thrilling two days.</p>
<p>Over 48 hours and five spaces, with 50 simultaneous, free activations for different ages from 11.00am to late, and the first chance to visit the multi-level super-venue Stories and the new Yagan Square adventure playground.</p>
<p>Expect to discover a stunning one-of-a-kind LED Light Maze, cutting-edge entertainment acts, aerial performers, food trucks and pop-up food carts, photo moments, kid&#8217;s activities and the Second Life Markets on Sunday with Perth’s biggest vintage markets. Two major evening shows are a spectacle &#8211; large scale puppetry in GLOW–GLEAM–DREAM on Saturday night, and a dive into Noongar culture with KAYA, by Phil Walleystack on Sunday.</p>
<p>In the amphitheatre the live music stage is programmed from day into night, with a line-up that features some of hottest talent coming out of WA such as Noongar electro-pop artist Boox Kid, four-piece indie-pop outfit Ivy Rite, teen rockers Broken Pedal (Rock Scholars) and Indigenous funk band Ricky Neil Jr. Broadway Unleashed will belt out stage musical hits, and DJs Aslan, Bexx and genre-bending Jamilla will bring the beats. The whole family join in the fun with interactive show Whose Rhyme – impressive freestyle rapping with Macshane.</p>
<p>For families and children there are engaging free activities including circus school, one-minute portraits, AWESOME Arts kids markets, El Presidente cart rides, a magic show, temporary tattoo bar, one-man circus, along with favourites like facepainting.</p>
