When it comes to WA we love our sunsets over the ocean, our long mac’s topped up, our brunches bottomless, and our sports – all the time.

Indeed we’re a sports-mad state in the West, and while footy season is in full swing, there’s plenty of sports action to get around outside of the AFL, and RAC Arena is bringing plenty of it over the next few months.

From global fighting extravaganzas to the national netball league with some exhibition nights thrown in, here’s what’s coming up at RAC Arena:

West Coast Fever

WA’s national netball team and the 2022 premiers West Coast Fever are back at RAC Arena for the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season. All seven of their home games are at RAC Arena, with game one versus the Sunshine Coast going down this Sunday. Hit RAC Arena’s What’s on for the rest of the fixtures.

IBF Lightweight World Title: Lomachenko vs Kambosos

The first of two massive fight nights at RAC Arena takes place on Sunday 12 May when the IBF Lightweight World Title showdown between Vasiliy Lomachenko and George Kambosos Jr. comes to town. In addition to the main event, two world title fights featuring Aussie challengers are also on the super card: Pedro Guevara fights for the vacant WBC Interim junior bantamweight world title against former champ Andrew Moloney, while WBA champion Nina Hughes takes on the challenge of Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” for the bantamweight world title. Harlem Globetrotters

For something a little lighter (but no less fun), the Harlem Globetrotters are back at RAC Arena for two big shows as part of their World Tour. The NBL season may be over but basketball action returns to centre court when the Globetrotters take on their arch nemesis the Washington Generals in games filled with out-of-this-world trick shots, dunks, and insane plays. Both games are happening on Saturday 22 June, find out more and grab your tickets here.

Featuring a lineup that includes X Games gold medalists Colby Raha and Corey Creed and local hero Brayden Davies, this’ll be one for the thrill-seekers out there, with shows at 1pm and 7pm – buy your tickets now.

UFC 305

Last but not least, after the roaring success of UFC 284 in 2023, the octagon returns to RAC Arena as part of a multiyear partnership with WA. The first is happening on Sunday 18 August, with ticket and match-up information to be announced – keep your eyes peeled on the RAC Arena website.

Of course sport isn’t all of the fun at RAC Arena, check their What’s On page for upcoming events including Disney on Ice, Trevor Noah, Iron Maiden and more.
