Whether you have locked in a cheeky after work drink, or you’re looking for an impressive location to take your next Tinder date, picking a cocktail with a view is always a solid choice. There’s no better way to sink back a martini than overlooking Perth’s best views. Here is a list of the best rooftop and waterfront bars in Perth to make your next cocktail date a visual pleasure.
Jetty Bar & Eats
We were waiting with bated breath for the long-awaited opening of Jetty, aptly named for its position on Freo’s East Street Jetty – and we haven’t been disappointed. Sunshine, fine wine, good times, and even better eats.
126 Beach Street, Fremantle
AGWA
AGWA’s Rooftop Bar is fittingly brutalist considering the iconic building it’s perched atop, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its charms! Take in the city sunset alongside the sculpture walk, enjoying tunes by a curated lineup of some of Perth’s best DJs and some similarly curated bites and sips – with an unmistakably WA flavour, of course.
The Art Gallery of Western Australia, Perth Cultural Centre
The Standard
The Standard may not be at the top of a skyscraper, but what it lacks in height it makes up with lush greenery and a pretty amazing view. Head up to the pint-sized deck above the garden courtyard and you’ll be treated to a gorgeous view of the CBD and the hustle and bustle of Northbridge below – plus their signature excellent cocktails and bites.
28 Roe Street, Northbridge
Terrarium
This Perth CBD bar’s terrace is packed with urban charm – not to mention plenty of plants! Tucked away down Howard Street, Terrarium’s dining room boasts floor to ceiling views of surrounding foliage, while the terrace looks out over city rooftops – either way, you’ll have a cocktail in hand!

The Rowing Pavilion
So close to the river you can dip your toes in, The Rowing Pavilion is an epic addition to Perth’s waterfront offerings. Mount Pleasant’s newest local is serving up a crowd-pleasing menu that traverses the globe while highlighting local produce. On the drinks front, the Pav has joined forces with Balter Brewing to keep you well-hydrated – although you’ll also see plenty of fizzy and fun things, from old world champagnes to summer-ready cocktails.
4 The Esplanade, Mount Pleasant
Mechanics Institute
Hidden behind the back of William Street, Mechanics remains to be one of the old faithful joints you know you can count on. The heritage listed rooftop encompasses the rustic charm of old Perth and creates the perfect atmosphere to sling back a cocktail in the sunshine.

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar
A popular food and drink spot for the East and North Freo set, this lusciously green rooftop bar’s Asian-inspired share plates pair well with a tasty cocktail selection and river views. They also do dangerous $10 Martinis everyday from 5-6pm, and Sundays is The Hanging Yum Cha 8-Course lunch special. With DJs on Fridays and Saturday nights along with Sunday arvos, vibes are high at Sweetwater.
Level 6/1 Silas Street, East Fremantle
Tiki As FK
This ’60s-style tiki lounge is the perfect mix between a Polynesian paradise and a swinger fondue party. Sip back on your Broadfield Swizzle as you gaze out into the Perth city skyline. The tucked away courtyard makes for an intimate and inviting experience, be sure to chat to the bartenders, they make for wonderful company.
91a James Street, Northbridge
The National Hotel
The National Hotel’s triumphant return to the Fremantle pub scene was enhanced even further a few years ago following the opening of their rooftop bar. Offering incredible 360 views of glorious old Fremantle town, the port and coast, it doubles as a fantastic function space, and their small plates/grazing menu will save you the trip downstairs for a snack.
98 High Street, Fremantle
The Camfield
Australia’s largest pub has got you covered for space, atmosphere and scenery. Parked on the Burswood peninsula, you can kick back and soak in the wide spread river views that stretch right the way out to Claisebrook. Just make sure to keep tabs on where your friends are sat before you duck off to the bathroom, this place is so massive you may struggle to find them again.
1 Roger Mackay Drive, Burswood
Hello Rooftop @ The Rechabite
The newest kid on the Northbridge rooftop bar block, The Rechabite’s top level Hello Rooftop Bar is the perfect capper on the Fringe-ified multi-story venue. What they lack in tap beers they more than make up for in cans, cocktails and colourful characters from whatever Fringe event is rocking the main hall. Make your way down to Double Rainbow when you start to get a little hungry.
224 William Street, Northbridge
Henry’s Rooftop @ The Reveley
If it’s stunning views of Perth’s pride and joy – Elizabeth Quay – you’re after then you’d be hard pressed to find a spot better than Henry’s Rooftop Bar, perched above The Reveley. While the Dining Room floor offers a more fine-dining experience, Henry’s keeps it pretty casual, with share plates perfect for a couple of sneaky after work cocktails, along with some live entertainment on the weekends.
The Towers at Elizabeth Quay, Eastern Promenade, Ophir Walk, Perth
QT Rooftop Bar
Stationed above one of Perth’s newest luxury hotels, the QT Rooftop bar can be enjoyed by not just hotel guests, but anyone looking for a unique encounter. Expect to be impressed by impeccable service, a decadent food menu, and divine cocktails. Did we forget to mention it’s also home to one of the best views of Perth?

18 Knots
Perched above Elizabeth Quay, 18 Knots has a million dollar view – which you can enjoy over a whopping 180 degrees. And while the view is worth a million bucks, their rotating roster of weekly specials is far from it, setting you back only $20 with a house wine. Don’t mind if we do!
Level 18/1 Barrack Square, Perth
Hadiqa
The CBD is really pulling no punches when it comes to rooftop vibes, and Hadiqa is a must-visit. The urban oasis vibes are definitely amplified by their iconic Turkish Delight martinis – especially stacked onto a gleaming cocktail tree!
