Bar Banter is coming to Subi this September

We hate to break it to all you Subiaco naysayers but… She’s back, baby!

There’s nary a suburb we’ve talked about more in the past couple of years, with epic, award-winning eateries to amazing coffee and some stunning shopping – and now, another delightful destination to add to your list!

Subi’s newest addition is Bar Banter, tucked away in the laneway behind Mexican cantina La Condesa and the 10th venue from Clint Nolan; the same hospitality brain that brought us La Cholita, Sneaky Tony’s, the aforementioned La Condesa and many more.

While he’s keeping coy about many of the finer details, we can expect to see a more Mediterranean-leaning offering than the cantina next door – think drink-friendly snacks like charcuterie boards, whipped ricotta with grilled flatbread, or moreish truffled parmesan potato gems.

Drinks wise, things go tantalisingly rogue, with seasonal cocktails like the “backyard Mai Thai”, along with craft beer and a WA-centric offering of wine.

“Subiaco is on the cusp of a new era, filled with potential and energy. We believe that Bar Banter will contribute to this dynamic transformation by providing a casual yet sophisticated space where our neighbours, local workers, and visitors can come together”.

Bar Banter is scheduled to open later this month and will be located at 483 Hay Street, Subiaco.
