It’s not just wine and surfing – the Margaret River region has plenty on offer, particularly when it comes to coffee. Whether you’re a local looking to find your new go-to, or you’re heading down for your first visit, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite spots to refuel on your next south west escape.

Yardbyrd

Long time Northbridge coffee-drinkers will recall their dismay upon hearing that Bookend and Little Willy’s proprietor Rob Mayberry was moving on from the beloved cafes. Luckily, he’s unleashed his magic touch in Margs with Yardbyrd. It’s got all of the quirky charm of the Northbridge cafes, amplified by its southwest locale – including a plant-filled courtyard and a cosy fireplace to warm you on those cold southern mornings.

Egberts

If you can’t get enough of Margaret River Bakery’s charm, you’ll be glad to hear that they’ve also opened Egberts – sister store to the bakery, and in many ways its younger, smaller, slightly more refined iteration. You’ll find more of their Dutch-influenced baked treats (Oma’s apple tart, omg!), plus coffee courtesy of beans by Micrology and local roasting outfit Red Feather.
