Get your ‘Gram on at 10 Perth’s most Insta-worthy cafes
We’re not shallow, but sometimes you just can’t resist a good photo op.
Paired with an amazing brunch… I mean, what’s not to love? Here are just a few of our favourite cafes in Perth when we want to keep the feed looking fresh.
Bespoke by Barista HQ
Barista HQ are passionate about that perfect cup of coffee – and they’re able to teach you how to make one, too! Both a barista training school and a cafe, you won’t just be ‘gramming the latte art. As well as some lush faux greenery, we feel very (very) seen by their neon sign that reads “But first, coffee”. Made by the nifty folks at Custom Neon, it’s giving us all the Monday morning, please-caffeinate-me-vibes that are just perfect for any coffee lover.

Soho Lane
Soho Lane is the newest hunk in town, and we’ve got a bit of a crush. As well as serving up killer coffees with locally roasted Micrology beans, their all-day brunch game is next-level. Star players include an ox tongue pastrami bagel, diner-style pancakes, or a golden, glistening fried chicken burger. We haven’t even mentioned their pastel-hued fit-out: those arches, that terrazzo… did someone sneak a look at our Pinterest boards?

The Little Bay
The Little Bay really is pretty-as-a-picture. Whether you’re an aspiring Insta influencer or simply want a good view with your brunch, Little Bay is the place to be. Gram-worthy surrounds are matched by gram-worthy plates – while you can still get your classics like big breakfast and eggs benny, the menu ups the ante with breakfast gnocchi and Turkish eggs… which would go really well with a Bloody Mary, just saying…
33 West Coast Drive, Watermans Bay
Cafe Leadman
Bigger isn’t always better – and it’s as true at Cafe Leadman as anywhere else. This itty-bitty, timber-clad cafe is anything but cute. Rather, its dark interior and curated menu speak to a more refined palate – and of course, an Insta feed just as sophisticated. That’s not to say you won’t find any crowd pleasers on the menu: gourmet mi goreng, Cuban toasties and the ubiquitous smashed avo all make an appearance, as well as a rotating roster of tempting Saturday specials.
159 Claisebrook Road, Perth
Dine by Arrival Hall
It makes sense that Arrival Hall is so gram-worthy – I mean, their whole thing is beautiful, designer furniture. Normally, the fact that it’s inside a furniture store would be a detriment, except that Arrival Hall’s space is so stylish, so serene…we’re happy for an excuse to loiter (and take a few snaps while we’re at it). While the Dine by Arrival Hall menu isn’t extensive, it sure packs a punch. Always changing, you’ll see dishes like prawn rolls, smoked salmon smørrebrød, or a Black Angus tenderloin sandwich on offer, as well as toasties, baked treats and bowls.
162 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge
Willing Coffee
An espresso bar started by a property developer? It hardly fills you with inspiration… but Willing proves to be an exception to the rule. Joining forces with expert baristas, Willing is inspired by 1950s, family-run Italian coffee shops – with a suitably Italian sense of glamour. In spite of its good looks, coffee is firmly the focus – although there’s still room for some cycling paraphernalia, of course. After their success in Guildford, Willing has expanded to their sister store, the Deli on Central. Positioned on the corner of Central Avenue and Clifton Crescent, the Deli brings all of Willing’s winning elements and adds an Australian neighbourhood corner shop nostalgia – and a similarly charming fit-out.
110 Terrace Road, Guildford
Smooth Operator
How could you resist those seductive eyes? Staring at you from Smooth Operator’s signature cups, you’ll be ordering another round before you know it. Although 2019 saw their relocation to a new shop a few doors down the road, they’ve still got the same high-quality coffee game, with a super stylish fit-out to match. Can you tell we’re suckers for terrazzo?
Shop 4/938 Hay Street (Enter on Milligan Street)
The Shorehouse
The proof is in the pudding, or rather, the prawns – when Nigella Lawson instagrammed her meal at The Shorehouse in 2019, it solidified its place as one of the best food and view combos around. Whether you’re heading there for a lazy brunch or sunset cocktails, those yellow striped umbrellas are the perfect place to be.

Flora & Fauna
It’s hard to believe that everything from Flora & Fauna comes from its pint-sized kitchen. While the inside is tiny and understated, the Northbridge laneway comes alive with the cafe’s cheerful alfresco vibes. Vegan offerings run the gamut from banana bread (a huge wedge, served with a gigantic plate of fruit), to tropical waffles topped with mango and raw salted caramel, to savoury treats like Mexican mac n cheese, or a towering corn fritter stack. And not that gram-worthiness is the ultimate barometer of food, but we absolutely dare you to resist photographing these technicolour, blooming plates.
4/70 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge
Stomp Coffee
Tucked away off Angove Street, Stomp Coffee‘s courtyard is North Perth’s very own hidden oasis, and the perfect balm to a rocky morning. Perch under a tree, ponder life, pat a pup – and take a few snaps while you’re there, obviously. If the picturesque garden wasn’t enough, there are plenty of murals and laneways nearby to work on your street style poses.
