The Best Restaurants Around Mandurah
As Perth’s urban sprawl continues to grow, places that used to feel like a bit of a mission away really aren’t that far. Mandurah is barely an hour south of Perth, and has plenty of spots for your next night out, whether you’re looking for some fiery fried chicken, a succulent steak sanga or a decadent bowl of pasta.
Brewvino
Brewvino first got our attention with their absolute showstopper steak sangas – and the deliciousness hasn’t let up since then. Start with some next-level snacks, like their crispy chicken wings that have been brined for 48 hours and served with zingy, pickle-y chilli sauce, then go all-out with their signature sanga, a juicy steak or some pillowy gnocchi.

Neighbouring the Mandurah foreshore, newbie Bob Jo is serving up some delicious Korean cuisine. The new beach food – crispy fried chicken, spicy tteok bok ki, flavourful japchae. Who says your only options are fish and chips?

Alfresco Restaurant & Cafe
Alfresco has something for everyone, with a menu that features both Nepalese and Western cuisine on offer. Take in the speccy view over the water and enjoy a succulent goat curry – don’t forget to start with a plate of momos!

Jasmine Thai
Another restaurant that makes the most of the picturesque marina views, Jasmine Thai is dishing up some fiery feasts, best enjoyed with an icy cold Singha. The menu is jam packed with favourites, from Thai-style stuffed chicken wings and pad thai, to house specialties like soft shell crab salad or a classic green curry.

Maneki Sushii
Head to Maneki Sushii‘s minimalist dining room for some classic sushi sets. The grilled nigiri is a favourite, but we also can’t ever turn town a plate of gyoza, or some crispy karaage.

Boston Burgers
If you’re looking for a monster feed, look no further than the unpretentious Boston Burgers. Their smashed patties rival Perth’s best, as does the fried chicken offerings – including some spicy Nashville options that’ll blow your hair back (if you’re brave enough!) If the hot Nashville chicken wasn’t enough, their cozy fireplace will also keep you nice and warm in winter.

Hoodburger
Hoodburger has been capturing the hearts and minds of Perth since their low-key beginnings; popping up in laneways and at parties around Perth, then in the Tiger Bao test kitchen, in their current Old Shanghai outpost. We’ve talked about these guys heaps already, but with good reason – succulent smashburgers, dropping with nostalgic Americana. We can’t help but think of Scrooge McDuck when we see their heaving trays of fries – you almost want to dive right in. Luckily, Mandurah locals can get in on the action with their new store opening at the tail end of 2021.
