14 of the best seafood platters around Perth
There’s nothing that makes you feel more bougie than sipping on a glass of champagne and digging into a seafood platter – live your best life and dig into some of our favourites around Perth:
Margot’s
This rather sultry Northbridge martini bar has just launched their bougie seafood tower, piled high with fresh scallops, oysters, mussels, Fremantle occy, prawns crab and more. Available every Sunday arvo, Margot’s stacked tower is best matched with their equally stacked menu of loaded Bloody Marys!
434 William Street, Perth
The Art Of Seafood
This platter is picture-perfect enough on it’s own, but the Art of Seafood’s waterfront views sure do add a certain something-something. Served sky-high á la high tea, the chilled tower features a combo of lobster, tiger prawns, oysters, scampi, Morton Bay bugs, pickled octopus and confit tuna – but there’s also a warm platter featuring ocean-to-plate seafood like miso glazed lobster, mixed oysters, Shark Bay clams with Riesling and cherry tomatoes, Singapore-style chilli crab, steamed snapper, garlic butter tiger prawns and seared tuna.
306 Riverside Drive, East Perth
Hillarys Beach Club
Seafood and a beachfront view make for a stellar pairing – and so does seafood with a fusion of Japanese flavours! Hillarys Beach Club ticks all the boxes with Ubon’s Seafood Tower, featuring heaps of goodies like lobster tacos, kingfish crudo, spicy salmon with crispy rice, prawn gyozas and much more – as well as lots of options to add on extras of your favourites!
20 John Wilkie Tarn, Hillarys
Twin Fin
Complete your next Freo excursion with a ripper seafood platter from Twin Fin. Perching under the Norfolk pines and taking in the sea view certainly isn’t a big ask – we’d happily do it just about any day of the week – but the addition of their BBQ seafood platter makes it a dream day out. This bad boy features half a lobster, a bowl of mussels, some grilled emperor and squid, plus a scallop and oyster.
8/47 Mews Road, Fremantle
Clancy’s Fish Pub
A reliable go-to, Clancy’s platter covers all the bases. Each location varies slightly in their offerings, but you can expect a plate that’s overflowing with goodness – think grilled barramundi, chilli mussels, coconut snapper goujons, tuna tartare and much more.
51 Cantonment Street, Fremantle
195 Challenger Parade, City Beach
Ruocco’s
A South Freo classic, Ruocco’s is worth a visit for more than just their pizza. Cop a platter of calamari fritto if you’re fancying something fried – but we’re eyeing off the Grigliata Frutti di Mare, or grilled seafood platter, which features an impressive mountain of barramundi, prawns, slipper lobster, squid, mussels and clams… Perfect for a seafood feast for two (or one hungry seafood lover!).
217 South Terrace, South Fremantle
The Cray
If you’re into a platter, the Cray‘s growing empire of restaurants have got you covered, and then some. Their classic choice is the Cray platter – which is loaded up with Mornay crayfish, battered and crumbed fish, chilli mussels, prawn and scallop skewers and creamy garlic prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, calamari and oysters – but you can also get a Cray-less option, or an ultra-fancy Executive Platter, which also includes marinated octopus, grilled tiger prawns and more. Feeling super-duper bougie? Then go all out with the Cray’s Imperial Platter, which features extra luxe additions like King crab legs!
Various locations
Mister Walker
Mister Walker’s Ocean Platter manages to find the balance between go-to favourites and new twists – serving up Shark Bay bugs, oysters, mussels, grilled prawn cutlets, lemon and chilli squid and smoked salmon, alongside pickled veggies, charred bread and a selection of dips.
Mends Street Jetty, South Perth
Oceans 27
Oceans 27‘s spectacular beachside locale is pretty hard to beat, but we’d venture far and wide for their seafood. As well as a pretty tempting tapas board, the Ocean Board is hard to beat: Exmouth tiger prawns, beer battered market fish, squid salad, local pickled octopus, plus oysters – with the option to add some oysters Kilpatrick, too.
27 Portside Promenade, Alkimos
Bathers Beach House
Another longtime favourite for the Freo set, Bather’s Beach House has the distinction of being one of the few places you can (legally) enjoy a drink with the sand between your toes. Fittingly, their seafood board matches the stunning beachfront location, taking things to the next level with oysters served alongside yuzu viniagrette, soda battered fish and roasted barramundi, fried squid with lime mayo, mussels with nduja, prawns, and local marinated octopus.
47 Mews Road, Fremantle
Catalano & Co
The Cat & Co platter is one of Perth’s best value, overflowing with seafood goodness for only $69. And while it’s easy on your wallet, you can level up the selection of local, fresh seafood even more with the addition of creamy garlic prawns or Morton Bay bug tails.
61 Makybe Drive, Baldivis
Kailis Bros Leederville
You can’t really talk about seafood in WA without the name Kailis coming up – and while the Leederville Kailis and Fremantle Kailis are separate, they each do a cracking seafood platter! Kailis Bros Leederville will make your seafood dreams come true with a teetering tower for four that features WA lobster mornay, herb-crusted scallops, garlic prawns, grilled occy, oysters Kilpatrick, crispy calamari and sticky fish wings!
101 Oxford Street, Leederville

Kailis Fishmarket Café Fremantle
And if you’re down Freo way, why not play tourist in your own city with the classic Fishing Boat Harbour experience? Not to mention Kailis Freo’s absolutely mind-bogglingly huge seafood platter? While you can go for the conservative option (a fry platter for 2-3 that’ll set you back $65), the Holy Ship platter is a true feast, stacked with so much seafood goodness we couldn’t even begin to list it.
Peasants Paradice
Ok, so while this isn’t technically a platter, we can’t help but mention the already legendary Peasants Paradice Cajun seafood boil. Only available at their Cajun Sunday events, your table will be practically overflowing with WA honey bugs, mussels, prawns, potatoes, corn and in-house smoked sausage – alongside the required accoutrements of white bread, butter, hot sauce, and plenty of Old Bay seasoning. Make sure to book in advance, it’s unmissable.
