Clancy’s Canning Bridge to close their doors
Clancy’s Fish Pub Canning Bridge will be closing their doors after almost 25 years at their Applecross location.
“After 24 years the team behind ‘the little pub on the corner’ Clancy’s Fish Pub Canning Bridge have decided to leave our little nest on the highway,” the venue announced to social media over the weekend.
“The sturdy little brother in the Clancy’s family of venues has been a much loved local in the heart of Applecross since 2000.”

“Our last day will be Sunday, May 26th so you still have a bit of time for a final drink, parmy, yarn, quiz, etc…” they added in the caption. A farewell drinks will also be held on May 25 for regulars, staff and old friends to bid adieu to the pub with drinks, live music and sharing memories.
The closure of the Applecross pub also follows the recent shuttering of the Clancy’s Dunsborough location, which celebrated its final service yesterday, May 19.
“The news comes as the Fish Pub Brand look to focus on larger family friendly spaces that fit their popular service model, much akin to their Fremantle and City Beach spaces,” the announcement continued.
“The iconic WA hospitality group announce the news with a sense of nostalgia and pride in a happy, successful near 25 year tenure.”
The Dunsborough outpost had a similarly long tenure, racking up almost 15 years at the South West location before its recent sale to Swan Valley brewer Bailey Brewing Co.
