Fittingly for the well-heeled, coastal location, Mas brings the sophistication of Any with a much more easy-breezy, casual lilt.
You can expect to find a thoughtful collection of Euro and Australian wines, with a focus on craft producers and an impressive 17 currently available by the glass. An equally thoughtful cocktail list has been carefully curated to include classics with a signature Mas twist: think a coconut barrel aged negroni with pineapple infused Campari, or a Margarita Royale topped with sparkling wine.
To accompany, there’s a concise menu of wine-friendly snacks with a similar approach – bread is served with an umami-loaded nori butter, squid rings are sprinkled with black sesame and lime, and a charred minute steak is loaded with brown butter, wattleseed and rocket.
You’ll be able to enjoy these offerings within the sleek surrounds of the Mas dining room, or head out onto the alfresco to watch the hustle and bustle of Napoleon Street go by.
Mas is open now, and is located at 29 Napoleon Street, Cottesloe.
