Dive into winter with coastal wine bar Al Lupo’s cosy new menu
While beachside dining normally has us dreaming of warm summer nights and cold beers – there’s something magical about appreciating the wild winter water during the colder months.

Fittingly, North Freo’s Al Lupo have launched a winter menu that captures the vibrant coastal vibes with a more comforting, cosy lilt – and Head Chef Carlos Olivari’s signature Italian flavours.
We’re talking sumptuously slow cooked meats, pillowy gnocchi tossed with wild mushrooms, or their new classic-in-the-making, Acqua Pazza: a pan-roasted fish with capers, olives and the warming kick of chilli.
Weekend lunches are levelled up with roast porchetta rolls – something we can never resist, whatever the season.
While cool weather has us leaning towards hearty reds (and they’ve got plenty of Italian, Australian and under-the-radar drops on hand) – we’re also tempted by the new roster of practically restorative cocktails. Highlights include “One Night, The Moon”, a warming concoction of whisky, mezcal, honey ginger and lemon, as well as the Ghost Town, infused with fig leaf, butter-washed bourbon and the bittersweet notes of Averna.
Al Lupo is located at 25 Leighton Beach Boulevard, North Fremantle.
