If you’re partial to a night on the town with “The Girls,” and you don’t mind a cheeky cocktail, you’re in the right place. For an evening of good friends, groovy vibes and of course, good wine, we’ve put together a list of some of the best spots for drinks in Perth:

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar

It’s a deadly duo difficult to match, with divine rooftop dining and killer cocktails. Based in East Fremantle, Sweetwater is a casual garden bar featuring an Asian-inspired menu, perfect for a cocktail operation with the girls. The relaxed setting and groovy furnishings will have you feeling like you’re on vacay! Do yourself a favour and get there for happy hour to get your hands on $12 cocktails and food plates. And you’ll want to try their signature brew ‘Lost in the Clouds’, which fuses vodka, malibu, pineapple and coconut foam.

Level 6/1 Silas St, East Fremantle

Il Lido

Perched on the picturesque shores of Cottesloe Beach and housed in what was once a seaside art-deco cabaret hall is an Italian espresso bar and restaurant that ought to be on your drinks bucket list. Inspired by the ocean landscape, “Il Lido” translates to “the beach”. Why not wine and dine, because who doesn’t fancy a little vino with their pasta and a tasty view too?

88 Marine Parade, Cottesloe

La Cabana

If La Cabana is where you’re headed, you’re not just going to want to stop for drinks! If you’re chasing a West Australian take on coastal Mexican cuisine, this South Freo joint is where it’s at! Think margaritas, Iced Tea-Quila, the Bloody Maria or the Native Negroni! And then pair it with their famous fish tacos, ceviche or some damn good guac.

400 South Terrace, South Fremantle

Pep’s Wine Bar

Pep’s is a neighbourhood wine bar whose design encompasses gorgeous exposed brick walls and wooden floors, while the wine list features brews made with minimal intervention and reduced additives. You won’t need a pep talk to be booking a table here!

492 Stirling Hwy, Peppermint Grove

Hadiqa

With a share-friendly menu infused with Moroccan, Mediterranean and Greek flavours, Hadiqa will transport you to places far and wide. The name of the restaurant and rooftop bar is Arabic for “garden,” so it’s only fitting that the space is steeped with the greenery of a Middle Eastern oasis – a welcome contrast against the concrete jungle of Perth’s CBD. There’s a tasty range of alcoholic, non-alcoholic and low alcohol drinks. And you might even enjoy a visit from belly dancers and snake handlers! The menu is packed with goodness, so you’re going to want to come hungry! Think Moroccan chicken, market fish with spiced romesco, piquillo peppers and sumac congo chips, roasted eggplant with miso and fetta and chocolate baklava!

Hibernian Place, Top Floor, Cnr Hay Street, 40 Irwin St, Perth

Si Paradiso

For a nightclub, bar and restaurant all in one, Si Paradiso is where you’re headed. Some come for the modern Italian (with flavour influences from France and Mexico) culinary delights, while others prefer to carve up the dancefloor and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s a place of delicious drinks, scrumptious eats and live music. Gorgeous beach umbrellas, lush greenery, parquetry flooring, mosaic tiling and stained-glass windows!

It’s like one of those choose your own adventure books, you can park up in the dining room for the full experience or kick back in the casual courtyard amphitheatre, and we know you’ll end up on the dancefloor. On the cocktail front, try the Apricot Sipper or Limoncello Spritz.

1/446 Beaufort St, Highgate

SKØL

“Skol” is a term used to express friendly feelings towards companions before drinking, and as the name suggests, Skol is a slice of Scandi in Scarborough, a neighbourhood bar with laid-back vibes. The Northern European inspired menu is centred around sustainability and seasonality, boasting a repertoire of plates to share. The drinks list features signature cocktails, six rotating craft beers and local and international wines.

35 Ewen St, Scarborough

Raffles Hotel

Raise your glass to the end of the week with a blissful backdrop of the Swan River. The drinks list showcases South West favourites, along with divine brews from around the country. Whether you’re on the sparkling, white, rose or red, they’ve got you sorted. The menu offers a modern Italian twist on pub classics – you absolutely cannot go past the pizza! Happy Hour is every Monday to Friday, from 5pm till 6pm, or why not gather the gang for Flashback Friday and tear up the d-floor with all the greatest tuners from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Rooftop at QT

Think 18th floor rooftop bar, a picture-perfect sunset, sparkling city lights, CBD views and beautiful cocktails. Get the girls around a night at the QT Hotel and indulge in the rooftop bites menu which features a deluxe cheese plate, Italian olives, corn and jalapeno mozzarella arancini, king prawn sliders and truffle fries – yum!

El Grotto

There are many reasons why we love El Grotto, one of which is their Spicy Marg and second to that is their tacos! Fire up the group chat for a night of beachside Mexican-infused fun. Think quesadillas, seafood ceviche, burritos and tostadas, paired with a Mexican Standoff or Bloody Maria, and a cheeky dancefloor later on if the mood strikes.

Quarter Acre

With an ever-changing selection of WA beer, wine and spirits, Quarter Acre is a neighbourhood pub with the grooviest of vibes. The cocktail list features all the best, from the Aperol Spritz to the Espresso Martini. We love the Pink Gin Sour and Strawberry Fields! Roll in on a Monday for their $20 burger and beer (or wine) deal, or the $30 nachos and wine carafe on a Tuesday, or send off the weekend with a Sunday Session and drink specials from 5pm.

The Shorehouse

Known for their Insta-worthy yellow and white striped umbrellas, groovy white furniture and spectacular seaside views, The Shorehouse is just a stone’s throw from Cottesloe Beach. And we love their cocktails! For something fruity and refreshing, try the Frosty Fruit or Sunset Reviver.
