The craft brewers have taken over the former Blasta space in Burswood, with a few tweaks to make it their own following Blasta’s move down the road at the start of the year – including a custom brew system for their core and limited edition ranges, which will eventually be brewed on-site.
While the brewery is Hobart based, Fox Fridays was bought by Benny and Sarah Hooper in March 2019, who both grew up in WA. Joining the couple to oversee WA operations is Ricky Watt, formerly of Busselton’s Rocky Ridge Brewing Co.
To celebrate their expansion into the west, they’ve released two WA exclusives: Sundial, a Double West Coast IPA and Dear Richard, “a Hazy IPA that pays homage to our man on the ground in WA, Ricky Watt” – with more to come once local production is up and running.
The brewery’s expansion isn’t limited to WA, with an expansive taproom opening in Richmond, Victoria at the end of 2023 in addition to their original Hobart location.
Fox Friday is scheduled to open on April 12, and will be located at 84/88 Goodwood Parade, Burswood.
