From massive scale dance festivals to intimate dinner soirees, we’re pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to big time New Year’s Eve parties in 2023.

And one of our faves every year is Freedom Time, returning to the manicured meadows of the Supreme Court Gardens with a carefully curated constellation of the deepest and deadliest DJs and music makers from Perth and afar.

Stepping back into the Abbondanza after a smash-hit first year, Neo-Italo neighbourhood osteria Testun Bar will be mixing a large dash of fun with a sprinkle of nostalgia and a whole lot of quality, locally sourced ingredients – delivered direct to your tastebuds. It’ll be a vegetarian- and vegan-focused menu in their signature, fun-filled style.

Tommy Tacos

Lead by former El Grotto, El Publico and Besk Head Chef Tom Bidiois, Tommy Tacos has been lighting up Perth’s tastebuds with his pop ups around town, and now he brings his LA-inspired street food menu full of Mexican and Latin flair straight to your soul. “Tommy Tacos is a return to cooking simple, tasty food using classic Mexican techniques with a few twists,” says Bidois of the menu. “Our menu is quite traditional and you definitely won’t find any unnecessary ingredients on the plate.”

Gonzo Vino

This edition’s vino offering will be poured out of the country’s most delectable (and psychedelic) goon bags from Gonzo Wines, bringing you a range of minimal intervention wines that are a bit tongue-in-cheek, a bit irreverent, kind of funny, but at the same time serious about great wine.

All this summer dancing is going to need a freshen up, which makes the fresh and juicy, cold-pressed cocktails courtesy of the mixological magicians at Idle Hands all the more important, served up out of a very special pop up.
