“I am so proud of the menu”, says Emma as her team try the new lunch and dinner menu for the first time – focusing on natural food and wine.

The tasting encompassing a new venture for owners Emma and Heath, a place they’ve dreamt of opening for years; a homage to Mother Earth, and of course the excitement for the team who are elated to be back after lockdown, prepping extensively for the doors to open this Friday August 7th.

An array of colourful plant-based plates were carefully handed out by Head Chef Antonio Fusco; a cauliflower steak burger sandwiched in between two clouds of soft white buns – freshly made with local flour by North Street Store; a simple but flavoursome fennel and leak dish complimented by a smooth coconut labne, a gluten free pappardelle made from chestnuts and lathered in pesto was a favourite, and desserts like the chocolate mousse and a take on Sicilian connolo – a must try, were just some of many.

Healthy living and sustainability have always been at the forefront for Emma and Heath who both beam with passion for the life they’ve created for themselves. They believe this is an important time to move forward and create a space that not only embraces all of the characteristics that have always driven them, but encouraging aspects of what the archetype ‘mother’ can provide; a safe, nurturing and heart centric space and a place of protection and education without forgetting to challenge its stereotype and show people that whoever you are, mother is in all of us.

“Mother runs through all of us”, says Heath.

Emma and Heath not only want to host you an unforgettable experience when it comes to food and service, but hope to leave you with an ongoing intention; to keep exploring what mother means to you.

What do you value?
How can we educate the people around us to lead a better life? The food is just a way to bring people together.
“It’s about the people not the food”, says heath.
