A brand new Tex-Mex cantina has arrived in Freo!

The arrival of another taco joint is always welcome news in our books – if your hands aren’t holding tacos, they’re being put to waste!

So we were extra delighted to learn Freo is now home to a brand new Tex-Mex joint from the same crew as Hermanos en Cantina, Gorgeous George – a bit of a tongue twister after a few margs, we reckon.

“Food for fun times” is what Gorgeous George promises, with a Tex-Mex-via-Australia take on tacos, quesadillas, nachos and more – think tacos stuffed with 12 hour slow cooked beef barbacoa, Louisiana-style beer battered fish fillet or even Jamaican jerk chicken. This ain’t high-falutin’ business, here – just plenty of fun!

On the drinks front, they’re keeping things refreshed with a big selection of tequilas, mezcals and cocktails on offer – with some truly tantalising specials currently on offer including $10 frozen margs between 5:30 and 7:30PM, an ice cold Alby schooner and any taco for $9.95, plus Rooster Rojo tequila tasting paddles for just $25.

Gorgeous George is now open, and is located at Paddy Troy Mall Lane, 21B/135 High Street Mall, Fremantle.
