Hobart Brewery Fox Friday To Find A New Home In Perth!
Tasmanian-based craft brewery Fox Friday is making moves to the West Coast, with a second brewpub scheduled to open in Burswood in the second half of the year.
The brewery, known for their signature hazy IPAs, will take over the site currently occupied by Blasta Brewing – who are moving into a new 1400-capacity venue down the road. Fox Friday’s crew will be renovating the brewery to include a custom brew system for their core and limited edition ranges, as well as indoor and outdoor seating for 400 patrons.
The expansion should come as no surprise, with Fox Friday’s owners since 2019 Benny and Sarah Hooper both WA born and bred. Joining the couple to oversee WA operations is Ricky Watt, formerly of Busselton’s Rocky Ridge Brewing Co.
“The support and enthusiasm for our beers in WA has been incredible,” Benny said. “And when the opportunity arose to use the building in Burswood, and join Perth’s craft beer community with Blasta’s new space just up the road, we jumped at it. Having worked closely with our friends at Blasta over the past few months, we’re hopeful we can create a hub for craft beer, and get our beers into the hands of more Western Australians.”
As well as their new Perth brewpub, 2023 will also see Fox Friday expand into Victoria, with a new brewery and taproom opening in Richmond at the end of the year.
