Killer Coffee And Good Vibes: You’re In Good Hands At This New Mt Hawthorn Cafe

Perth has been blessed with some truly next-level coffee purveyors – but when you can get a great flatty all around town, it’s the vibe that really makes the difference.

Situated right amongst the thick of it on Scarborough Beach Road, the bright and airy In Good Hands has already been earning fans amongst locals for not just their amazing coffee, but for their inclusive and welcoming ethos – which extends to both customers and staff.

Helmed by barista and owner Oli and their mum, it’s a family affair. “Since I was little, we were in the kitchen baking together, and she’s behind all the food at In Good Hands. Doing this journey with my mum, it’s been special. ”

If it’s not made lovingly in-house, it’s been sourced locally from suppliers like cult-favourite bakery Everyday Bread. You can expect to find the usual suspects on offer (think croissants, muffins and banana bread), alongside a rotating roster of savoury treats – mushroom toasties, a schnitty panini, or a focaccia bursting with eggplant and sugo.

And of course, the coffee. “We’re excited to work with Community Coffee Co., who will be our house for all our milky brews. A few other exciting roasters we’re working with at the moment are Double Double, Twin Peaks and Daylight Coffee Roasters, who will also feature on our batch or ‘spro!”

In Good Hands is open Monday to Friday, 6:30AM – 2:00PM, Saturday 7:00AM – 1:00PM, and is located at 1/186 Scarborough Beach Road, Mount Hawthorn.
