Northbridge Fave La Cholita Is Turning 10, And They’re Having A Big Ol’ Fiesta To Celebrate

Getting to double-digits is a big birthday at the best of times, but for a restaurant to hit the big 10 after the tumultuous past few years? Well, that deserves a party – and maybe a tequila or three, as well.

Luckily, the folks at La Cholita agree – and they’re celebrating their huge achievement of turning 10 with a blowout laneway party over the 3rd and 4th of December. Starting at 5PM and running to the wee hours of the morning, their back laneway will be transformed into a street straight from Mexico: filled with colour, lights, music and big flavours.

For the past decade, La Cholita has become one of our go-to spots for delicious tacos, cocktails and a guaranteed good time. Their weekend of celebration will be no exception; they’ll be serving up some of the restaurant’s beloved crowd-pleasers, including that moreish guac with crispy flour tortillas and chicken mole tacos. Plus, there’ll be a pop-up cocktail bar dishing up classic margaritas, sangria roja and refreshing watermelon rosé frozé. Your ears can feast on tunes from DJs Charlie Bucket and Ben Sebastian while you hit the dance floor, and there might be a special appearance or two from a mariachi band over the weekend.
