From the same team as growing dumpling empire Miss Chow’s and Mount Hawthorn eatery Lucy Luu, Lena’s is bringing bold Thai flavours to Perth’s CBD from today!

Named in honour of owner Jacquie Chan’s mother, the menu is inspired by Lena’s Thai heritage.

“My mother was a remarkable woman, with a deep love for food and family, and I wanted to take this opportunity to honour her spirit and celebrate her life and legacy,” said Chan.

“Every dish we serve at Lena’s reflects her passion for cooking and the joy she found in bringing people together through food. I’m proud to carry on her tradition of serving delicious meals and creating lifelong memories.”

As well as more traditional takes on well-loved Thai dishes (including an impressive tamarind fried barramundi topped with a sweet and sour herbacious apple salad, or a smoked red duck curry with lychee), you’ll also find a scattering of fusion dishes that draw influences from all over the world – think grilled corn ribs with tom yum butter, coriander and lime, roasted rice beef tartare, or kingfish crudo with mango, jalapeño cream, coriander and coconut.

(Not to mention the pad kra paw spring rolls with chilli jam that we’re eyeing off rather eagerly…)

When it comes to cocktails, expect big-time refreshment to complement the big, zingy flavours on the plate – like a lemongrass-y take on a limoncello spritz, a lychee smash infused with Thai basil gin. It’s enough to make you feel thirsty… Time to knock-off yet?

Lena’s is scheduled to open on Friday, November 3, and is located at 240 St Georges Terrace, Perth.
