Dumplings – we can’t get enough of ’em, you can’t get enough of ’em, and luckily for all of us – we’re gonna be getting more of them thanks to Perth’s dumpling empire Miss Chow’s.

Officially opening this week in Mt Hawthorn, Lucy Luu is a bar and bites-style venue bringing South-East Asian heritage to Perth’s bustling small bar scene, employing high end produce for beautiful bites like sriracha prawn toast with saffron aioli, deep-fried lamb ribs with xin jiang crust, and steak tartare with Szechuan spice and wasabi aioli.

It also marks a major move for the Miss Chow’s Group, introducing a Head Chef for the first time with Aldren Teo (Emily Taylor, Market Grounds) making his debut at the new venue.

Miss Chow’s founder is understandably pretty excited, working with her two daughters (pictured, below) to introduce some international wines and a cocktail menu to proceedings: “The Lucy Luu concept provides the perfect setting for people to meet, mingle and enjoy high-end food and drink, putting both Australian and South-East Asian heritage under the spotlight,” she said.

“It will be particularly exciting to bring our Head Chef Aldren Teo into the mix, further amplifying our brand of quality and authentic food.”

“Guests can expect a menu that fuses South-East Asian heritage with local WA produce. It’s centred around familiar flavours from childhood with three profiles of sweet, salty and spicy. It’s about transporting people back to the food we ate as kids, whilst featuring fresh WA produce,” said Teo.

Lucy Luu is open now at 148 Scarborough Beach Rd, Mt Hawthorn – find out more via their Website.
