With Perth’s small bar scene bubbling along nicely, it’s time to start thinking late night.

And the State Buildings have the perfect new underground bar to keep your night rolling – Pooles Temple, opening this Thursday 16 July.

Formerly Halfords, Pooles Temple is a “bar for the global citizen”, offering a carefully put together food and drinks menu to go with some hand-picked live jazz on weekends.

Throw in a wine/champagne list from Emma Farrelly (State Buildings Director Of Wine), curated cocktail courtesy of Bar Manager Emma McCulloch and bites from State Buildings Exec Chef Kim Brennan and you’ve got an impeccably smooth blend to lure you downstairs.

Eats-wise, think oysters, olives, charcuterie and four-cheese toasties, while their cocktail list is as classy as it is considered.

Open from 5pm til 2am Thursday-Saturday, you can expect local jazz musicians performing from 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, hand-picked by nationally-regarded singer Bodycoat.

It’s all set amongst plush, velvet chairs and a very moody, underground French vibe that looks set to be the home base for many a late night.

Follow Pooles Table on Instagram, or hit up their website for more info.
