Maya’s Kitchen Is Bringing Lebanese Food With Heart To Mount Hawthorn

We’ve already spoken at about our fervent passion for charcoal chicken, and Lebanese cuisine in general – so when we heard about Maya’s Kitchen opening in Mount Hawthorn, we were practically giddy with excitement.

Mount Hawthorn is having a real resurgence in quality food offerings, with the area home to favourites like Drasko’s, Spritz Spizzicheria, La Madonna Nera, Pappagallo’s… and now we can add Maya’s Kitchen. Family-run, it’s all about authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean fare – fresh, fuss-free and most importantly, full of flavour.

As well as the aforementioned charcoal chicken, you’ll be able to wolf down other favourites, like perfectly crisp and fluffy falafel platters, babaganouj, fatoush and more – plus twists on classics like a kafta burger, or a falafel burger served with tahini and pickles that’ll convert even the most staunch carnivore.

Crispy pita is our love language, so we’re already day dreaming about dipping a shard into some hummus and toum… Paired with some tender and succulent spiced meats? Call that a date night.
