The Merrywell Launches A ‘Dude Tea’ To Raise Money For Movember
While men around the country begin prepping for the upcoming Movember, The Merrywell has launched a pretty delicious-looking take on a High Tea to get in on the act.
Their version, lovingly known as the ‘Dude Tea’, is a unique take on high tea that will see $10 from each serving sold in November donated to the Movember Foundation.
Loaded with all the American-inspired treats you could dream of, the Dude Tea has to be seen to be believed (and then eaten/drunk):
– Chorizo sausage rolls with tomato sauce
– A mini loaded chilli dog
– The Merrywell cheeseburger with angus beef patty, American cheese, vintage cheese, remoulade
– A fish taco with crispy fish, shredded lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, sriracha mayo, coriander
– Onion rings with macho macho sauce
– Loaded tater tots with pulled pork, pico de gallo, coriander, jalapeños, sour cream
– Waffle fries with aioli
+ A pint of any tap beer at The Merrywell can be added to a Dude Tea serving for $10 per person
Our mouths were already salivating at the photo, and that list ain’t helping.
It’s all in support of men’s mental health in Australia, as according to the Movember Foundation suicide is the leading cause of death for Aussie men aged 15-44 years.
The foundation has been operating since 2003, and is very much responsible for the dirty moustaches you see growing throughout the month of November.
“We are extremely proud to support an organisation that is committed to raising awareness of men’s mental health. Dude Tea provides patrons with a purpose to get together and to start a conversation around mental health all while experiencing our unique take on a high tea at The Merrywell,” said Crown Perth Chief Operating Officer of Food, Beverage & Entertainment, Andrew Hill.

The Dude Tea will be operating everyday from 1pm-4pm at The Merrywell, with a minimum of two people required to order.

About Movember:
Men’s health is in crisis. Globally, men are dying 6 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. As the leading charity tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention on a global scale, Movember is making change happen. In our mission to stop men dying too young, Movember funds groundbreaking health projects, – 1,250 and counting – uniting experts from all over the world to accelerate research, progress and change.
Year-round, we’re hard at work raising funds and awareness, culminating in our month-long annual moustache-growing event in the month formerly known as November. The month of Movember is globally recognised for its fun, disruptive approach to fundraising and the unique ways it prompts men to take action for their health. Since 2003, more than 5 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas across 20 countries have joined our global men’s health movement, helping men across the world live happier, healthier, longer lives.
