Neighbourhood Bagels comes to King Street tomorrow
It may only be Tuesday, but we’re already feeling those hump day blues. We’ve got to go to work again?!
Luckily, we’ve got some nifty news to lift the spirits, with the arrival of Neighbourhood Bagels to King Street from tomorrow!
The Neighbourhood experience has been inspired by the time-honoured tradition of New York-style bagels – and while they’ve kept things classic enough for the purists (lox, pastrami, egg salad, you get the vibe), we’re pleased to say you’ll also find a few options sneaking in there that are more West Australia than West Village.

And rather fittingly for New York-inspired spots, the new venture is from the same team as SoHo Lane and Little SoHo Coffee Co.
At its helm, “Head Bagel Architect” Zoe Ciotta has an impressive CV that includes stints with acclaimed UK chefs Rick Stein, Angela Hartnett, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and under the tutelage of Eyal Jagermann at the Barbary. More recently, Ciotta has gained local attention with her buzzy pop up The Chutzpah Deli following appearances at Miller + Baker and Astral Weeks.
Tucked away at the St Georges Terrace end of King Street, Neighbourhood Bagels will be open from 7 ’til 2 every weekday. To celebrate the opening, the first 200 customers on opening day will also be treated to a Neighbourhood cookie to, ahem, sweeten the deal!
Can’t make it down? Be the office hero and grab a catering box for delivery or pick up.
Neighbourhood Bagels is located at 172 St Georges Terrace (corner of King Street), and is scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 8.
