Now open: The Guildford Hotel expands with the new-look Vaudeville Hall next door!
It’s hard to believe the Guildford Hotel’s extensive renovations and flashy new look were finished over eight years ago, and today its legend grows a little bigger with the opening of The Vaudeville Hall.
First built in 1898 by the original licensee and publican of The Guildford Hotel, George Hiscox, as a community theatre, the hall now services the area in a different way, as an extension of the hotel.
The indoors/outdoors facility is now home to revamped dining areas thanks for a $2.8 million renovation project, transforming the old theatre into a casual beer hall with plenty of TVs showing the footy, plus a beer garden and kid’s playground.

The “revitalised bistro menu” honours the Guildford’s reputation for modern pub classics, while you’ll also find a new outdoor barbecue kitchen and meat smoker cooking up an over-the-coals charcoal grill menu, led by Head Chef Alex Baglin.
Alongside those multiple large screens showing sport, punters will also find a pool table to knock a few balls around.
“Guildford Hotel has been a staple amongst our community for years,” said Operations Manager of The Guildford Hotel Katie Reeves.
“Being able to reconnect the two buildings with the history they both hold is really exciting. We’re looking forward to welcoming locals and visitors through the doors to check out and enjoy The Vaudeville over the coming weeks and into the future.”
The Vaudeville Hall is open from today, with a Locals Weekend coming up on August 2-4, head to guildfordhotel.com.au/the-hall for more info.
