The best Sunday roasts around Perth
We’re not fancy – give us a meat and two veg and we’re pretty content.
Make it a Sunday roast, and we’re in love – here are some of our favourite Sunday roasts around Perth.
St Brigid
Not only is St Brigid home to one of our fave little fireplaces around Perth, it’s also the location of one of our fave Sunday roasts… Coincidence? Absolutely not! Curl up by the fire and hook into one of their two roast options – beef or mushroom. Both come with hearty servings of roast carrot, potato, broccolini, mashed potatoes braised onions and red wine jus. Plus a bitta Yorkshire pud if you like getting extra cosy.
251 Scarborough Beach Road, Doubleview
Fallow Liquor & Eatery
This nostalgic multi-level pub had us enchanted from the get-go, and their Sunday roast is a practically magical way to send off a weekend. Chef Stuart Laws has been one of the loudest proponents of WA produce over his nearly three decades on the pans, and Fallow’s varied (delicious) menu reflects his love for local ingredients. Fittingly, Fallow’s take on the Sunday roast is comfortingly traditional, letting the local produce be the star of the show – and will only set you back $29.
314 William Street, Northbridge
The Iluka
If you’re venturing up in the northern suburbs on a Sunday drive sometime soon you absolutely must stop in at The Iluka for their Sunday roast. While their menu is a mouthwatering mix of classic Mediterranean dishes, they’ve also got a few English pub faves up their sleeves and the Sunday roast is right up there. Choose from Margaret River Black Angus beef fillet or Mount Barker free range chicken, served with roast potatoes, roasted veg, cauliflower cheese, stuffing, homemade gravy jus and of course a homemade Yorkshire pud! It’s quite the hit, so make sure you book ahead.
98 O’Mara Boulevard, Iluka
Bertie
This Bassendean wine bar are experts when it comes to levelling up comfort food faves, so it’s no surprise that Bertie’s new Sunday roast is a surefire hit. A rotating protein (chicken, pork, lamb shoulder – plus a veg option!) is paired with a seasonal selection of veg, Yorkie and river of gravy for $33! Tuck in from 3PM every Sunday.
77 Old Perth Road, Bassendean
Besk
While Besk generally keeps things pretty light, bright and breezy, their new Sunday roast offering is comfortingly traditional. Centrepiece roasts are designed to share (think Stirling Ranges striploin, crispy porchetta or succulent beef rib) and accompanied by roast potatoes, maple carrots, Yorkshire puds, proper gravy and horseradish cream, alongside a selection of seasonal sides to level up your roast experience – like roasted cauliflower cheese with aged cheddar, parmesan and onion crumb, buttered greens, peas, flat beans, cabbage and pancetta, or sticky maple and orange glazed root veg with sage.
264 Railway Parade, West Leederville
Daph’s
This pint-sized Leederville eatery has been a slow-burn success story, quietly building a solid reputation as one of Perth’s best eateries. Showcasing local and seasonal produce, the Daph’s menu changes with almost head-spinning frequency – but their Sunday roast takes a more traditionalist turn.
One of the bougier options around Perth, Daph’s will bring you three courses of roasty goodness for $70: starting with crispy pork belly bites and Asian salad, followed by a stunning array of fire-roasted rump cap, veal jus, Yorkshire pudding, duck fat potatoes, cauliflower cheese, braised red cabbage, smashed carrot and swede and charred broccolini – before finishing off with a stunning apple and rhubarb crumble with mandarin icecream.
226 Oxford Street, Leederville
The Seasonal Brewing Co.
When we first wrote this, Seasonal Brewing Co. was a brand-new venue, punching well above their weight with a strong contender for Perth’s number one Sunday roast. They’ve maintained their excellent reputation – the roasted-overnight pork is an often-returning favourite, although sometimes they change it up with beef, ham or even the occasional chicken. Sides include seasonal veg, Yorkshire puds and gravy – or if you’re lucky you’ll even score some cauliflower cheese! Roasts are available from noon until sold out – which they very often do, so we recommend you head there early.
175 Guildford Road, Maylands
Wards Central Dining
If there’s one thing the Wards crew know how to do, it’s seamlessly blend old-school nostalgia with a contemporary point of view… So the recent launch of their stellar Sunday roasts comes as a welcome addition to the roast roster. This impressive multi-course offering hits all the classic notes, with the addition of their signature excellent bread with lashings of butter, plus a sweet treat to finish (think sticky date pud and other winter-y delights)!
Victoria House, 4 Thorburn Way, Shenton Park
Fibber McGee’s
We were guilty of writing off Fibber McGee’s as just another Irish pub, but then – luckily! – we saw the light. Owned and run by chefs who take pub grub to the next level, with just about everything made in-house – from their soda bread to their sauces, and even extends to owning and operating their own organic farm, Drumlane. The same commitment to quality is seen in their Sunday roast, which is served alongside veggies, stuffing, roast potatoes, Yorkies and gravy.
711 Newcastle Street, Leederville
The Raffles
While we typically reserve our Sunday trips to The Raffles for a cheeky Sunday sesh a little later in the day, their new roast is making us re-consider a lunch time mission. We also literally cannot keep ourselves from a well done roast porchetta, and The Raffles’ is served with crispy Kipfler potatoes, roasted baby carrots, brussels sprouts, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. It’ll set you back 29 well-spent dollars, available until they run out every Sunday during winter.
70-72 Canning Beach Road, Applecross
Young George
East Freo’s Young George is the bar everyone wants in their neighbourhood – from its bottle shop, to its perfect-for-sharing, globally-inspired menu, and even its sustainable ethos. Add in their stellar Sunday roast? Well, we certainly didn’t need any more convincing. Traditional, comforting, but with that signature Young George flair, their roast features wood-roasted pork shoulder with crispy crackle, pumpkin cream, sage and onion stuffing, and a side of cabbage… Not to mention there’s even a glass of vino included for just $29!

The latest addition to Perth’s – admittedly quite healthy – Irish pub scene, Johnny Fox’s has got their Sunday roast on lock. To go with the rest of their hearty-meal-filled menu, every Sunday they rock a $26 roast all day, with your choice of beef or the daily special (or try both for 8 bucks extra!), plus stuffing, mash, Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, veg and as much gravy as you can fill your boots with.

Every week Chapters is serving up a proper roast, at a real proper price. Rose & Crown Hotel
A historic pub seems like the perfect setting for a leisurely Sunday roast and the Rose & Crown Hotel ticks both of those boxes and then some. Add in a cosy fireplace, or their outdoor fire pit, and it’s the perfect way to spend a winter afternoon. While they’ve got an impressive rotation of meats on offer, their roasted pork with crackling is just too enticing to pass up.
105 Swan Street, Guildford
JB O’Reilly’s
We love JB O’Reilly‘s warm neighbourhood vibes, but do you know what we love almost as much? You guessed it, their bonza Sunday roast. These guys really put it on, with choices of beef, lamb, pork, chicken, or… if you can even handle it, the Ultimate Roast. This bad boy has all four meats, veg, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, sage stuffing and gravy. You might need some stretchy pants for this one…
(Need to keep the comforting eats going into the working week? They’ve also got a rather tempting Monday night special: roast and a pint for just $25!)
99 Cambridge Street, West Leederville
The Duke
People say you can’t have quality AND quantity, but this modern English pub proves you can, in fact, do both. The Duke‘s all-you-can-eat carvery will be the balm to any rough weekend, and features a selection of roast meats plus plenty of sides, desserts and even a salad bar.

The Galway Hooker
Obviously, the first thing we think of when we think Sunday roasts? An ocean view. We kid, but there’s something about the salty air at the Galway Hooker that adds a certain seaside charm to an afternoon. With a fit-out that was built in Ireland and shipped over, the roast offerings are as traditional as you’d hope, served with all the trimmings (and a Guinness, we hope). Having a rough start to the week? They also offer a Monday version of their roast special for lunch and dinner!

Kingsley Tavern
Sometimes, you just need a full roast dinner served in a giant Yorkshire pudding that’s as big as your head… thankfully, the Kingsley recognises – nay, celebrates! – this need. This classic roast is generously served, and of course comes with accompanying potatoes, carrots, peas and gravy to accompany it – although we all know what we’re really here for.

Served inside a gigantic Yorkshire pudding, each week features a rotating meat (usually switching between beef, lamb or pork), as well as classic veggies and rivers of house gravy.
