Planning a special celebration and need a little privacy? Whether it’s a dinner with friends, an office party, or even a small wedding, here are the best private dining rooms in Perth for your next special event.

La Lune

East Freo’s La Lune has become one of our favourite go-to spots for casual breakfasts or romantic date nights – but you can now add luxe private dining to the list. “Le Salon Privé” is tucked away from prying eyes, so you and your nearest and dearest can indulge in some wanton enjoyment of those steak frites – or indulge in one of the bistro’s exclusive hosted dinners.

Balthazar

Balthazar’s timeless dining room gives you all the confident, New York-y, money-never-sleeps vibes you’d hope for in the business end of the CBD, but with an approachability that’s all West Australian. Tartare, terrine, kangaroo loin and duck fat potatoes tick all the hedonistic boxes, not to mention that impressive wall of wines. Whether you’re impressing clients or friends, the private wine room takes things to the next level.

Santini Bar & Grill

Located at the QT Perth, this dimly-lit dining area is the epitome of contemporary sophistication. Santini’s closed curtain semi-private dining space is just to the side of the main restaurant and caters for 36 people, with the best of the menu’s highlights served over your choice of two or three courses.

Heritage Wine Bar

With its crisp white linens, bentwood chairs and monochrome palette, Heritage Wine Bar has the classic good looks its name would suggest. Devoid of any trendy gimmicks, the menu has a distinctively European flair, with an unmistakably WA flavour and a meticulous attention to detail. Fittingly, the old-world eatery has not only two private dining rooms but a private rooftop terrace to really impress.

Pooles Temple

This underground late night jazz bar at the State Buildings has transformed into one of Perth’s most plush private event spaces. Previously, Pooles Temple was known for live jazz and classic cocktails (including a mean martini), now the decadent space is intimate, luxurious and the perfect hideaway for you and your friends.

The Stables

Not many dining rooms come with their own cocktail bar! The Stables was one of Perth’s original horse stables from 1894, so the venue has historic charm and character. Attached to the original venue, is the recently renovated Little Stables, which houses a basement private dining room. The sleek space is like a speakeasy of the future, complete with cocktail bar and menu by Executive Chef Ben Keal.

Gather a group of your nearest and dearest for good food and good wine in the privacy of your own dining space at Post. Along with menus catered to suit your event and dietary needs, there are three private areas to choose from, including a small dining room for up to eight guests; a larger room seats up to 12 guests; and the semi-private room caters for up to 22 people.

This global, Robert De Niro-owned brand has made a name for itself in excellence, and its Perth outpost is no different. The opulent dining room and its Crown setting naturally lends itself to celebrations, while complementing its modern Japanese-South American fare – and their joinable private dining areas (seating 12 people each) continue the luxe vibes.

If you’re chasing ultimate privacy, then Garum’s private dining room “Polpo” is downstairs underneath the restaurant and offers a self-contained space.
