When it comes to pizza, the plant-based options are practically endless these days – and we couldn’t be more pleased! Check out some of Perth’s best vegan pizzas, for when you’re feeling extra cheezy…

Zambelli’s

No list of local vegan pizza heroes is complete without the inclusion of Zambelli’s. From serving up absolutely massive pizzas, a separate vegan menu with loads of options (you’ll be seriously overwhelmed with choice), and super-friendly owners to seal the deal – Zambelli’s is the best of the best when it comes to quality, consistency and, of course, ultra deliciousness.

If you’re looking for something to please absolutely everyone – you can’t go past the “Vegan Works”. In the mood for something with a little more zazz? The “NOT A Big Mac” and “Vegan Satay Chicken” will do the trick.

Don’t forget the vegan garlic bread and dessert calzone to really make a night of it – you may not be able to roll off the couch afterwards, but we promise it’ll be worth sleeping in the lounge room for.

5/265 Walcott Street, North Perth

Mamma Mia Pizzeria

It’s not often you see a pizzeria slinging vegan dessert pizzas alongside their regular vegan options, but that’s exactly what you’ll get with Mamma Mia Pizzeria – who, in our opinion, are also contenders for the best pizza shop name in Perth.

The must-try B.T.S dessert pizza can be veganised, and features Belgian dark chocolate, smashed strawberries, and roasted coconut. Make sure you order one per pizza-lover, because we can guarantee that after the first bite you won’t be in the mood for sharing.

2/30 Ainsbury Parade, Clarkson

The Queens Hotel

If you’ve got a craving for a hearty, slightly spicy, tomato-y, meatball pizza… There’s only one place to go: The Queens. Featuring delish house-made dough, tender plant-based meatballs as the star of the show, lashings of chilli flakes and fresh rocket, this Beaufort Street offering has us craving pie on the daily. And it’s pretty healthy to boot.

King Somm

Soft, chewy, fluffy and crispy – all the qualities of the perfect dough. While King Somm only serves up 2 vegan pizza options, the dough alone ticks all these boxes and makes the trip to Baysie worth it.

For the tastiest margherita in town, sub vegan mozzarella and vegan pesto, and then sink into their plush vintage couches with a fancy bevvy while you wait for the dreamy dough circle to be delivered to your table. You can even buy some extra dip for your crusts (not that we think you’ll need it, the crusts are delectable as is).

13 King William Street, Bayswater

Vikka

We love supporting family owned and run bizzes, and Vikka in Leederville is one of the best. With a separate vegan menu (and lots of gluten-free and even FODMAP options too!) showcasing five different delish pizzas, you’ll be tempted to order one of each – and we don’t blame you. Our top picks are the spicy “pork” sausage and the potato pizza. For the extra racy among us, add on some fermented chilli for no extra charge. And did you even visit if you didn’t order the cheesy garlic bread sticks? A must try.

With tables for up to 18 folks, you and all your fussy mates can enjoy a pizza feast, while having everyone’s dietaries catered for. Thanks Vikka!

Cheeky Sparrow

Cocktails and pizza – name a more perfect combo, we’ll wait. If you’re in the mood for fancy drinks and flavoursome food – Cheeky Sparrow has you SORTED. Tucked down Wolf Lane in the CBD, it’s the perfect place to hide out with pizza and piña colada. With a super creative pizza menu including the likes of Vegan Greek Lamb, Curry Cauliflower and Shirazi, even the most well-travelled vegan pizza lovers will find something to get excited about here.

Faux Sho Vegan Pantry

The name on every SOR (and NOR, let’s be honest) vegan’s lips at the moment is Faux Sho. Specialising in vegan cheeses, deli goods and of course pizzas, Faux Sho are the only 100% vegan pizzeria in the greater Perth area, setting the gold standard for vegan goodies in WA and we are here for it.

The mouth-watering doughs are created in-house using a traditional recipe from Naples, with a 36 hour rise which gives them their signature bubbly appearance and texture (we are drooling already). The team make almost everything themselves from fresh ingredients, including their own “Buffauxlo Mozzarella” cashew cheese which you can also purchase to take home, and when is teleporting being invented again? Because we need one set up for Rocko. Pronto.

You’ll want to place an order for the Deep Dish Italian Fennel Sausage, the Mushroom with White Truffle Oil (the truffle oil is synthetic, too, because truffles are technically not vegan!) and a cheeky side of Buffauxlo Cheese Stuffed Arancini and Foccacia with Confit Garlic and Rosemary, because honestly it’d be rude not to.

7/9 Kent Street, Rockingham

Pizza Mates

Boasting a strong internet presence and reel game, Pizza Mates are injecting some youthful energy into the local pizza landscape, while still staying true to their traditional Italian (Pugliese) roots.

Owned by, unsurprisingly, two mates who met in London, Pizza Mates serves up at least 4 vegan pizzas. Our top picks are the Vegan Dream (add pineapple) and Herbivore, finished up with the Biscoff Pizza, which features a crunchy Biscoff base, topped with plant-based chocolate hazelnut cream and roasted almond flakes.

Alfred’s Pizzeria

When the late night munchies hit after a big night out on the town – there’s only one place to head for your vegan pizza fix – Alfred’s.

Descend the staircase into the darkness and head straight to the bar to demand either the Home Alone or the Flora & Fauna, named after the best little cafe in Northbridge by the way, and substitute for vegan cheese. You can also order a nightcap, too – we won’t judge.

Sometimes only the greasiest of pizzas will do, and Alfred’s has you covered to settle the tum after a night of drinking, and hopefully quell any impending hangovers.
