Opening Today On Oxford Street: A Succulent Satay Joint (Featuring Plenty Of Rum)

We’re a sucker for a satay stick, so when word reached us that a new spot dedicated to those succulent, meaty sticks was opening in Leederville it’s fair to say our mouths started watering.

And that day has come, with Popeye’s Satay Hut X Bar bringing the tropical holiday vibes to Oxford Street where Foam Coffee used to be.

As well as their signature satay sticks (you can choose from chicken, beef or cuttlefish), Popeye’s will also be serving up a selection of share plates – including fried tofu with a yuzu mayo, pork ribs with a black vinegar glaze and curry leaves, chicken wings with a secret sauce, and plenty more perfect for a quick drink and a snack or a feast with friends.

As well as bites, there’ll be plenty of drinks to wash them down – with a rum-focused array of signature cocktails that’ll practically make you feel the sand between your toes: think piña coladas, mojitos, mai tais and more.
