Seven months after Lums first said hello to the streets of Subi, the neighbourhood bar is expanding their offerings to a brand new, Spanish-leaning menu.

Since opening, Lums has kept things simple with a few tapas-style bites – searching for both the perfect, purpose-built kitchen set up and the perfect chef to take the reigns.

Lums Subiaco New Spanish Menu

The arrival of new Head Chef Nick Young (previously of Wildflower, Must Wine Bar, Bivouac, Lallah Rookh and more) has heralded a new era for the bar.

Their new menu (available now!) keeps the Spanish, tapas-ish vibes of their existing bites and develops them into a more substantial offering – while keeping plenty for the wine and snack crowd.

Shares include platters of jamon and Spanish salami, sourdough served with cultured butter and anchovies… Although we’re particularly tempted by burrata with figs and green raisins.

If you’re feeling hungry, dive into paella with squid and mallorquina or pillowy gnocchi with confit tomatoes, mushrooms, smoked soy and crème fraiche – or splurge with the picanha, a rump steak served with chimmichurri (perhaps our all-time favourite condiment?).

Lums Wine Bar is located at 433 Hay Street, Subiaco.
