When it comes to dumplings around Perth former Master Chef contestant and mastermind behind Bumplings Brendan Pang is one of the best.

His take on those delicious fluffy pillows of goodness is so beloved he’s even managed to turn them into a frozen range you can buy at the supermarket, or, cop a few free tastings of them from the man himself this Friday afternoon.

That’s right, Old Bridge Cellars in North Fremantle is hosting a free dumpling tasting this Friday, with Pang stopping by to showcase his frozen dumpling range while the Old Bridge team showcase six hand-selected wines that go perfectly with Asian flavours.

“Snappy, clean, high acid wines have a kind of refreshing vibrancy that’s a great counterpoint to the flavours,” says the team at Old Bridge. “We’ve selected a couple Rieslings, a Viognier/Marsanne blend, a Vermentino and two reds which will surprise you when paired with food!”

Dumplings-wise we’re talking Chicken & Prawn, Juicy Pork Xiao Long Bao and Pork & Ginger flavours from Pang’s Frozen Dumplings range.
