With two stellar years under their belt already, Geraldton’s Shore Leave Festival is back for 2023 and bigger than ever!

Taking place over four action-packed days from April 27 to 30, the festival celebrates all things midwest – including the exceptional produce the region is known for.

You won’t get a more immersive taste of the region than at the Abrolhos Long Table Lunch. While it may only be in its third iteration, it has instantly become one of the state’s most iconic – and delicious – events, allowing you to experience the region’s produce like never before: with the sand of the pristine Abrolhos Islands between your toes!

The elegant lunch is curated by WA Regional Chef of the Year for 2021 Brendan Pratt, who prior to his highly-lauded tenure as Vasse Felix Head Chef, spent time at Michelin-starred restaurants The Fat Duck and The Ledbury.

Take your experience to the ultimate next level and arrive in style, gliding onto the spectacular water of Turtle Bay in a seaplane or descending onto the island via chopper. An unmatched foodie adventure – we mean, just picture yourself here:

Bringing the star power, acclaimed chef Matt Moran will be hosting and curating one of Shore Leave’s cornerstone culinary experiences, MidWest Paddock to Plate. The once-in-a-lifetime meal will take place amongst the rolling hills and paddocks of Yanget Farm, a station that has been rearing cattle for over a century. One of the region’s longest-established and most fertile farms, you’ll get to enjoy produce plucked straight from the garden and onto your plate.

Alongside these coveted culinary offerings, the region will come alive with a huge program of events – from live local music, food trucks and markets at the Helm on Geraldton’s foreshore, to explorations of vibrant marine life at the Batavia Coast Maritime Institute, or  even tours of the world-class Mingenew Space Centre.

After its incredibly well-received first two years, Shore Leave’s status as one of WA’s premier foodie experiences is all but sealed – so make sure you don’t miss out!
