There are a whole bunch of reasons why you might not be imbibing, booze-wise – and whether you’re taking a short break (à la Sober October or Dry July) or you’re in it for the long haul, you deserve something exciting to sip.

Sommelier Rachael Niall agrees – which is why after two decades of helping connect people with excellent wine (and a rather illustrious CV to show for it), she’s shifting the focus towards non-alc options with the arrival back in January of her new retail space, Tomorrow On Tap.

The sunny Bulwer Street store stocks a curated range of booze-free options – from 0% beer, wine and spirits to an exciting array of hard-to-find and artisanally-made sodas, kombuchas, cocktails and more.

Think small batch natural sodas from ultra-cool South Australian brand Mischief Brew, zero-alc brews from Melbourne’s Monceau, wellness potions from Orchard St, stylish canned cocktails from Noot or the intriguing wine-adjacent beverages of Ghiddy – among many others.

The store also boasts house-made drinks on tap, crafted with the help of award-winning bartender Shirley Yeung – the current rotation includes native lemonade and peach ice tea.

Having settled into the neighbourhood, you can now head to Tomorrow On Tap every Thursday night between 4 and 6PM for free casual tasting events, hosted by local non-boozy boffins. The first tasting on May 11 will be led by Perth beer legend Joel Beresford, who’ll be pouring non-alcoholic beers from Melbourne brewer Molly Rose and South Australian Little Bang Brewing Co.

Tomorrow On Tap is located at 223 Bulwer Street, Perth.
