As winter descends and there’s a distinct chill in the air, we think we might have found the best way to warm ourselves up on those cold, dark evenings…

We’ll be rounding up the crew and hopping on the train, heading to the cosy surrounds of Samson’s Paddock for an evening indulging in rare whisky and nibbling on 9+ wagyu and more.

Already one of our winter favourites for curling up by the fireplace with a wine, the friendly Mosman Park’s expansive whisky collection is one that’s going to take multiple visits to work through.

And one of the best ways to do so is by unravelling the hidden gem that is their steak and whisky pairing boards.

Samson’s Paddock Steak Whisky

From tasty cuts of veal to indulgent 9+ wagyu, each bite is sourced from some of Australia’s premium beef producers, and will be paired with one of the bar’s many delicious drops – with options for everyone from beginners to whisky fanatics.

Newbies can learn the ways of whisky with their “Where It All Began” option, which will give you an insight into some classic bottles from Scotland and Ireland – or travel further afield with the best of New World whiskies.
