Perth Is Getting Two New Waterfront Bars In The Coming Weeks!

The sun is finally peeking out from behind the clouds, the temperature is rising, and we’re asking ourselves… “Why don’t I have a drink in my hand? Why aren’t I near or in a body of water?”

Luckily, two new spots are opening in the coming weeks to tear us away from our desks – and both are satisfyingly close to the water.

Officially opening this Friday, Velvette Lounge is bringing some smooth, sultry, late-night vibes to Cottesloe. Smack bang in the centre of things, the new cocktail bar is taking up residence in the old Cott & Co. space on Marine Parade – just a skip across the road from your afternoon dip. You can expect to find some sophisticated cocktails, specialty spirits and delectable wines on offer – and some guaranteed good times.

As if that wasn’t enough to get us all giddy for summer, we can also look forward to 8 Knots Tavern.

You’ll practically be able to dip your toes in the water – the tavern is perched right on the river at Aquarama Marina in East Fremantle. Cruise on up for a cocktail or beer in the sunshine – whether you’re lucky enough to be arriving by land or by water, you’ll be able to enjoy the casual pub’s chilled-out offerings and million dollar views. Not only are furry friends allowed in the alfresco, they are encouraged! Salty sea dogs included.
