One of the most-anticipated attractions on Perth’s events calendar is less than a week away, and this year’s Winter Lights Festival is looking like the biggest and best yet.
Alongside immersive, carnivale-themed projections and interactive light installations, festival-goers will also find a brand new twilight Artisan Market and an expanded entertainment program, featuring street performers, entertainers, live music and more.
All of this fun is sure to make you thirsty, and ‘Night Glow’ (August 24-27 and September 1-3) finds Brookfield Place’s best and brightest venues serving up some delicious festival-themed cocktails, drinks and bites, satisfying your taste buds to go with the stunning sights and sounds on display.
Nestled under the glowing projections set to feature on four heritage buildings, a trip down the Lower Laneway will see you discover Bar Lafayette’s special ‘Rouge’ cocktail (Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin, Haymans of London Sloe Gin, Campari, Lustau Sweet Vermouth,Cherry Bitters); W Churchill’s ‘1889 Martini’ (Forty Spotted Pinot Noir Gin, Passion Fruit Liqueur, Vanilla Syrup, Chilli); or simply a burger and beer from Grill’d for just $18.
Plus you can head down to Bobèche who are feeling particularly festive for the entire month of August, celebrating 10 years with a Top Ten Playlist of their greatest hits cocktails over the years. From their beloved Bobèche Iced Tea, to Breakfast Martinis, Buttered Rum with fresh truffles and more, it’s a naughty-but-very-nice option before or after you’ve enjoyed the Winter Lights Festival.
Brookfield Place’s flavour-filled cafes will also be open late during Winter Lights, with a few faves slinging festival foods every night including The Cutting Board, Hi Thai, Zushi Bento, Viet Hoa, Ladle + Press and Basilica. These easy eats are the perfect way to take a break during your festival experience surrounded by Local Live musicians, Glowing Installations and Artisan Markets.
Last, though certainly not least, Winter Lights is running a dazzling competition to celebrate the festival, with the chance to win a trip for two to Uluru’s spectacular Field Of Light, including return flights for two to Uluru, accommodation and an exclusive Field Of Light dinner experience.
