You Stay Classy, Margs: Rhum Burgundy Is Now Open
Margaret River has scored a brand new bar!
Opening back in January, Rhum Burgundy is the brainchild of the crew at boutique winery LS Merchants and award-winning cocktail bartender Billy Phillips.
Squeezed in between a surf shop and a restaurant on Marg’s main drag, Rhum Burgundy certainly puts the “small” into small bar.
Spread out over two floors (including a balcony that overlooks Bussell Highway) and with a fair dose of nautical-inspired decor, the itty-bitty bar is serving up a delightful mix of the classic and the more experimental. You can expect to see familiar favourite (yet party-ready) cocktails, particularly of the rum-based variety, alongside plenty of Anchorman inspired numbers…
So yes, there’s not just a Sex Panther cocktail (a twist on a dark and stormy), there’s also a Dorothy Mantooth Punch – available without alcohol, if you’re feeling extra saintly.
And although the bar is from the same team as LS Merchants, the wine list journeys from the old world to the new and includes over 140 bottles Helpfully, all of their wines by the glass are available in 50, 120 and 180mL sizes – so you can really get tasting!
Rhum Burgundy is located at 107 Bussel Highway, Margaret River.
