Rejoice! Chicken & Beer Festival Has New Dates After Being Shutdown 2 Hours From Open Due To The Snap Lockdown

The snap lockdown that came into effect last weekend caught many off-guard including a number of large scale events like the inaugural Chicken & Beer Festival. Just hours before commencement, with basically the entire event bumped in and ready to roll, they were forced to postpone.

Fortunately the organisers last night announced new dates, and they’re coming up very soon! Re-scheduled for May 21-23, they’re encouraging people who already have tickets to hang on to them and enjoy the day in a few weeks:

“We were of course really disappointed and also worried about the impact on our suppliers and vendors who had already prepared food for the opening session of the festival that night,” said co-
organisers Gopi Jeyarraj and Aaron Gill. “We are thrilled the festival can go ahead on a different date and have been overwhelmed with positive support on social media and from ticket holders. We very much hope that ticket holders will be able to come along on the new dates and support our vendors as well as ourselves, a small local company.”

Family Fun Day, Saturday 22 May: 11am-4pm

Saturday Night Fever, Saturday 22 May: 5pm-11pm

Sunday Session, Sunday 23 May: 12pm-6pm

Ticket/Refund Info:

• Single General Release Ticket – $30 (includes 1 free drink)
• Group Tickets (6+) – $26 each (includes 1 free drink for each ticket)
• If you already have tickets, they will be automatically transferred to new respective sessions
• If you can’t attend on the new date/session, you can change your session by logging into the Megatix homepage and clicking ‘My Orders’ at at the top
• Refunds can be requested by filling out THIS FORM until midnight Tuesday 4 May.
