The Team Behind The Royal Show Are Launching A Free 5-Day Christmas Festival At Claremont Showground
We missed out on a lot in 2020, but one that hit very close to home was the cancellation of the Perth Royal Show back in September. However, in a wonderful case of spreading some last-minute Christmas cheer, the Royal Agricultural Society Of WA and Australian Festival Company are launching the inaugural Christmas Fireworks Spectacular this December!
Running from December 18-22, the Claremont Showground will be transformed into a festive fun land featuring some of the best elements of the Royal Show with a tinsel-infused twist. You can expect a spectacular array of family favourites, Christmas attractions and more each day. Guests will be able enjoy the showground from 3pm – 10pm for free, all attendees must register their attendance via the Perth Christmas Festival WEBSITE.
Outdoor Animal Farm
It wouldn’t be a show without animals, and with a selection of reptiles, birds and Aussie wildlife you can get your furry friend fix at the showground this Christmas.
Santa
Father Christmas will of course be in attendance, keep an eye out for your chance to grab a selfie with the man himself!
Christmas Grand Finale
Make your way down to the main arena and grab a seat for the Christmas Grand Finale, every night from 8pm. Enjoy a Carols Concert ending with what will be Perth’s biggest Christmas Fireworks & Light Show!
Stage Shows
There’ll be some fantastic kids entertainment on offer, including the Sesame Street Christmas Party Stage Show and Avengers Stage Show, running free every day. Kids can also express their artistic flair with a free Kids Crafts workshop.
Christmas Markets & Local Food Trucks
For those looking to do some Christmas shopping, check out the local business markets, offering the chance to pick up some last-minute presents. Feeling peckish? Grab a bite to eat from a succulent selection of local food trucks.

Rides, Sideshow Alley & Themed Bar
It wouldn’t be a proper show without all the Royal Show bells and whistles, so expect plenty of exciting rides, a showbag-filled Sideshow Alley, and a themed bar for a well-earned drink after so many activities.
The inaugural Christmas Fireworks Spectacular is shaping up to become an iconic event on the WA events calendar, and with demand expected to be high guests are encouraged to register their attendance early via the Perth Christmas Festival WEBSITE.
Lastly – and most importantly – the entire festival will be managed with a COVID Safety Plan and safe patron numbers, with a focus on social distancing, sanitiser access and cleaning between and during all sessions.
