Next Saturday will see the launch of an epic new live music series from beer barons Coopers Brewery and Live Nation called LIVE, LOUD & LOCAL, kicking off in the idyllic surrounds of WA’s iconic Hotel Rottnest pub.
With east coast shows to follow, Rotto will host event #1 featuring one of Australia’s most exciting electronic acts and proud WA boys Crooked Colours, supported by emerging talent Blake Rose and party starting DJ NDorse.
After a year that saw the live music scene around the country decimated, it’s exciting and encouraging to see more live music coming back to pubs and venues around the country, and Crooked Colours on Rottnest Island is a pretty beaut start we reckon.
We’re so pumped that we’ve teamed up with Live Nation and Coopers for a special giveaway, offering you and a friend return ferry tickets from Fremantle to Rottnest, along with a double pass to the gig and a carton of Coopers to get your summer started!
To enter, send us an email at [email protected] with CROOKED COLOURS in the subject, with winners to be announced on January 14.
Perth-based three-piece Crooked Colours have emerged in the past few years as a dominant force in Australian music, scoring regular triple j play, huge festival slots and sold out shows around the country.
Their latest double single Falling/Love Language has been racking up the streams, and both tracks are already proving to be live favourites as they rock Western Australian stages over the past couple of months.
And they’ll be ably supported by emerging Perth-based singer/songwriter Blake Rose.
With almost 38 million streams on Spotify with his hit single Lost, Blake shares the same management team as Billie Eilish, and is already touted by Aus’ music media as an international pop star in the making.
Outside of entering the competition, you can nab yourself tickets to the Crooked Colours show now by following THIS LINK, and Rottnest Express/Rottnest Fast Ferries are offering discounted same day return ferry tickets for punters as well.
