Two Fringe faves are returning for their biggest seasons yet for FRINGE WORLD 2025
Summer in Perth means many things, but once the Christmas ham has finally become too old to pick at and New Year’s fireworks have extinguished, attention turns to the fun, fantastical, FRINGE WORLD.
Returning to Perth for an action-packed month from January 17-February 16, 2025, there’s hundreds of shows offering something for everyone including comedy, music and musicals, circus and much more.
We’ll be diving into the incredible array of offerings over the next few weeks, starting with this year’s biggest hits making their triumphant return, History of house and Briefs Factory.
History of House
A collaboration between iconic Australian DJ Groove Terminator and the the spectacular Soweto Gospel Choir, its Perth premiere in 2024 was an instant hit, filling up the Rechabite with dance music fans of all ages. This year the show celebrates their debut ARIA-nominated album, reimagining dance music through the decades, across 12 huge nights at the Rechabite from January 23.
Briefs Factory
As part of the nationwide Backtrack Tour, Briefs Factory is taking over the west coast with not one, but two shows this summer, literally arriving on a tour bus with performances spanning a unique blend of burlesque, cabaret, circus, and all-out spectacle. They kick off with the opening weekend premiere of Knickers – a fearless, all-female affair that flips the script on traditional cabaret and showcases some of the worlds most powerful performers.
The three-night season of Knickers (January 17-19) is then followed up by Jealousss – a high-octane mix of circus, drag, and the fiercest burlesque acts imaginable. A fever-pitched exploration of envy, seduction, and skill, all presented with the troupe’s signature irreverence and a triple-shot of intensity. Both shows take over the Aurora Speigeltent in the Pleasure Garden, with Jealousss running from January 22-February 16.
