Potty-mouthed British-Australian thespian Miriam Margolyes is heading to Perth with her brand new live stage show, Oh Miriam!
The actress and raconteur is known for her wide-ranging roles on stage and screen over the past 60-plus years, including Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, Martin Scorcese’s Age of Innocence and of course, playing Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter series.
From being fed cockroaches by Steve Buscemi to being farted on by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the March 17 show at the Perth Concert Hall will feature more of her signature outrageous storytelling of juicy and jaw-dropping tales from throughout her life and career – in conjunction with even more stories you’ll find in her memoir Oh Miriam! Stories from an Extraordinary Life.
“My new book and show is called Oh Miriam! – something that has been said to me a lot over the years (often in tones of strong disapproval) – and it contains lots more revelations and stories and discoveries, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
