With music festivals taking a back seat these days (but hopefully not for too much longer), Perth is definitely beginning to think outside the box when it comes to big gatherings of people in festive atmospheres.

Enter the inaugural Perth Cocktail Festival, shaking and stirring into the Crown Parklands over a big long weekend, February 26-28.

A host of Perth’s favourite bars and restaurants will be teaming up for a day of themed bars, small batch booze, a dazzling array of cocktails, matching food tastings and more.

While we love a good old bar hop, the idea of sipping your way through luscious cocktails in the shady green surrounds of Crown Parklands sounds pretty darn enticing to us.

There’ll be four sessions to attend over the weekend where you can enjoy boozy masterclasses, food safaris, have a boogie and more.

Some other things to expect:

– DJs and music throughout the grounds;
– Espresso Martini Land;
– Sakura Saloon, inspired by the finest Japanese landscapes and liquors;
– Once Upon a time in Mexico – tequila, tacos, margaritas;
– Island Time – a tiki playground with tropical rum cocktails and Reggaeton DJs;
– The Gin Garden;
– Cocktail master classes;
– Silent Disco;
– Cocktail shows;
– Mixologists from across the city;
– Variety of restaurant pop ups;
– Karaoke Bar

In terms of bars involved, you can expect familiar faces from Perth faves like Bar Lafayette, Neon Palms, Mechanic’s Institute, Foxtrot Unicorn and more, plus a host of familiar foodie friends to be announced soon.

SESSION TIMES:

Friday 26 February – 5pm-10pm
Saturday 27 February – 11am-4pm & 5pm-10pm
Sunday 28 February – 3pm-8pm
