Break out your glitter: Pilbara Pride Festival arrives later this month
Attention Pilbara friends: get your glitter ready and break out your brightest colours because the Pilbara Pride Festival is right around the corner!
Running from 14-22 June, this year’s festival roster is brimming with fun events and activities.
Starting the week off strong is the Sugar Blue Burlesque Drag Queen Cabaret Show. This 18+ event will showcase the talents of WA’s premier vintage dance performance and entertainment troupe. Glamour, sensuality, fantasy — the show is guaranteed to deliver all this and more.
On 16 June, head down to South Hedland Town Square for the local pride celebrations, with activities like Pride Pilates, face-painting, live music, and a Rainbow Pride Walk. Open to attendees of all ages, this is the perfect opportunity for a family day out.
Throughout the week, you’ll find a blend of kid-friendly and adult-only events. Rainbow storytimes, a movie screening of Kinky Boots, and a variety of pride markets are awesome options if you’re hoping to bring along your little ones. Or, you can opt for adult-only events like drag bingo, trivia and comedy nights, or a paint and sip.
