The Beloved Scarborough Sunset Markets Make Their Sizzling Return From Next Thursday!

The day’s (and nights) are heating up and you know what that means – the return of what we can pretty safely now call a Perth institution – the Scarborough Sunset Markets!

WA’s biggest beachside market spot will be taking up residence once again along the sizzling Scarbs Esplanade every Thursday from November 3 until April 27 next year, and It’ll to once again be a feast for the senses with foodies galore, along with a few new surprises.

Read on for a little rundown of what we can expect:

Long Table Dining Settings on the Beach

In a first for the markets, a long communal dining table will be set up along the beach, meaning attendees can enjoy dinner with their toes in the sand! It’s the perfect chance to feast with friends and family, or meet some new members of the community!

Scoot Your Way In

It gets pretty busy down there on Thursday nights, so why not scoot your way in? The markets are partnering with Neuron e-scooters to help you get in with priority parking and discounted rides – just get the App and you’re away. Plus if you’re using them on Thursday nights your entitled to 30% off the first 10 minutes, just check the App for the code from 3pm.

New Foodies

There’ll be over 60 foodies coming together to serve up Perth’s largest selection of market eats, including some new additions such as Bali in Perth; Happy J Corn Dogs; Los Amigos; Opa Opa; Tibet Stove; Tikka Tango and much more. Sweet tooths are also sorted with Billy Van Creamy; Lalicious Pantry; Mr Cannolo and Soba Mobile Bar, plus fried ice-cream, French crepes, Greek donuts, raw treats, a giant bus filled with lollies and everything in between.

Artisan Retailers

The retail stalls will be packed with locally made goods like golden soy wax candles & melts; non alcoholic wines; allergy friendly dog treats and cakes; premium men’s beard, skin and hair styling products; local landscape photography and postcards; eco friendly indoor pots and plants; vintage clothing; unique jewellery pieces and more.

Fur-Bu-Lous Fashion Paw-Ade

The Fur-Bu-Lous Fashion Paw-Ade will return for a Christmas edition on Thursday 22 December, promising plenty of tail-wagging fun and hosted by drag queen superstar Cougar Morrison.

War on Waste

As always the Scarborough Sunset Markets take the war on waste seriously, reducing their landfill from 100% to just 10% thanks to the powerhouse volunteers at The Waste Warriors, sorting rubbish into compost, Containers for Change, recycling and landfill, washing cups to be reused at the bar, educating the masses about sustainability and selling market exclusive bamboo Eat Kits. Market goers are also always encouraged to BYO their own plates, cutlery, cups and bags from home with vendors promising to fill them up with their market faves.

Entertainment

This years entertainment will have a strong focus on cultural experiences through dance. Expect a rotation of post sunset entertainment (audience participation strongly encouraged). DJ Shann will also be on hand for sunset beats in collaboration with dance, live musicians and even MC battles, along with DJ Flex under the Clocktower and DJ Bammbi in the skate bowl.

Sandbar on the Green

Sandbar’s cranking bar on the green will have ice cold bevs on hand for you to settle in and watch the beautiful sunset! Sitting pretty on the top grassy deck, imbibe in craft beer, premium wine and/or booze-free options.
