Ahh New Year’s Eve, the biggest party of the year and quite often…the most stressful? Trying to figure out what to do on New Year’s can be a nightmare, with so many options, different price ranges, friends and family going in all sorts of directions…
As always, we’re here to help, and have rounded up a big old selection of our picks on where to spend your New Year’s Eve, talk about how quickly this year has gone and start making those bound-to-be-broken resolutions. Prices vary across the board, from $100+ all inclusive packages to absolutely free, so wherever you end up when the clock strikes midnight we hope it’s with your nearest and dearest and a smile on your face.
Origin Fields @ Wellington Square
WA’s biggest New Year’s festival goes huge this year over New Year’s Eve and Day, with international and national acts like Tyler, The Creator, RÜFÜS DU SOL, The Veronicas and heaps more. Plus there’ll be a whole heap of new activations at their new home, so make sure you get plenty of rest in the lead-up!

Vegas HYDE-AWAY @ HYDE Perth Kitchen + Cocktails
Perth’s vibey new poolside bar brings a touch of the Sin City vibe this NYE, with champagne, grazing stations, roaming canapes and beats courtesy of Melbourne’s DJ Carly. And when the clock strikes 12, prepare yourself for confetti, fireworks and maybe even a sneaky New Year’s kiss.

Freedom Time @ Ozone Reserve
Returning for its 5th year, Freedom Time remains one of the coolest NYE events on the calendar. Featuring an eclectic lineup of live electronic artists and DJs from around Australia, you can read up on it with one of the organisers, Ben Taaffe, right HERE.

NYE House Party @ King Somm
Chef Ben Atkinson will be working the courtyard BBQ with tasty seafood and wood-grilled meats all the way into 2020. There’ll be DJs long into the night, house party games and tickets are fully redeemable on drinks and food on the night.

New Year’s Eve On The Beach @ The Lookout
Bungalows by the beach, bowling, big beats and confetti cannons – the Lookout is throwing a free beach party for New Year’s and it’s set to be a ripper. All their fave DJs over the past 12 months will be on deck to party, get down early to avoid those lines.

Dancing In Space Disco Ball 2020 @ Henry Summer
The groovy cats at Dancing In Space are taking over Henry Summer for a Disco Ball dance to remember. The disco edit maestro Dr Packer is headlining, to be joined by a host of local legends in multiple rooms to keep you dancing well into the New Year.

All That Glitz & Glamour NYE @ Q Bar + Kitchen, Quay Perth Hotel
Gaze out of the Elizabeth Quay in your glamorous best while indulging in HQ’s famed grazing tables and roving canepes. House Of FADJ DJs provide the soundtrack, while the $195+BF tickets get you a 5-hour drinks package, grazing tables, sparklers and more.

New Year’s Eve @ The Dock

The Bar Pop New Year’s Eve Party @ Ice Cream Factory
Ice Cream Factory’s Summer Festival will be going super large for their penultimate party evening, with 6 stages, 11 bars, silent disco, rides and a freakin’ zipline. Best hurry though, as tickets are on final release and won’t be hanging around for much longer.

NYE @ Si Paradiso
Si Paradiso’s magical amphitheatre will once again provide the setting for a night of fizz, dancing, seafood and pizza under the stars. With live music from Your Girl Pho and Good Bike, plus DJ sets from Mishka, Highs & Lows and more, there’ll be plenty of grooving to do.

The Avalanches (DJ Set) @ Freo.Social
Australian music legends The Avalanches will be popping in to Freo.Social for a very special headline DJ set which promises to be one for the ages. They’ll be joined by groove merchants Grievous Bodily Calm live, along with JCAL and TRST DJs on the decks to soundtrack their extended license.

The Newport Hotel will have three of the biggest British artists ever taking to the stage (in tribute act styles, of course). Innuendo will rock you with Queen hits, The Rocket Men hold you closer with Elton John jams, and The Brothers With Arms take on the sultans of swing themselves, Dire Straits.

Mojos knows music, and they’ve invited plenty of bands from plenty of genres to provide the sounds to year finale. Featuring the likes of Bass Lemon, Butter, Dan Howls and Ocean Cosmonaut, there’s a little something for everyone. There’ll be DJs too, so plenty plenty of reasons to head down.

Madchester Mayhem @ Amplifier
If you love the legendary Manchester music scene (think Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays), then Amps will have you doing your best Ian Curtis dancing impression all night.
