Fringe World has well and truly kicked off, lighting up Perth with the same weird and wonderful magic we wait for every year. Throughout the city and surrounds, you’ll find; burlesque babes, crazy contortionists, delicate dancers, and passionate performers. The time for Fringe madness is quickly running out, if you haven’t snagged up some tickets, jump on the website before it all ends. In the meantime, below are ten shows that you can still catch that are guaranteed to give you a good time.

La Soirée

You can get a mixed bag of talent at Fringe, let’s face it; some can be a little less rehearsed than others. This is not the case when it comes to La Soirée. A variety of circus, puppetry, singing, aerial and song, all manicured into impressive precision for your amazement. This award-winning show ensures no detail goes unperfected, making it a well-rounded choice to wind up your Fringe festivities.

A Midnight Visit

If you want to get the most out of your Fringe experience, participation is key. Broad Encounters Productions brings you a fully immersive choose-your-own adventure in a late-night adult playground. Follow Lizzie through the Girls School for a night of sexy steampunk, mad macabre and decadent darkness.

Best of British Comedy

Anyone who has caught this show has raved about the quick wit, great humour, and all-round great energy the comedians bring to the stage. Every year brings a new line-up of the funniest Brits, bringing variety every season. Tickets are still on sale until the 16th Feb, snag yours and head down to the Court for some beers and belly laughs.

Blanc De Blanc

If you’re looking for a touch of class, a tipple of bubbles, a dash of vintage, and a whole lot of seductive fun, you need not look further. Blanc De Blanc combines international cabaret and acrobatics in an evening of high-end entertainment. Every bit bedazzling as it is madness, showing until March 2nd at The Pear Tree.

Cabaret pub crawl

Make your way through four bars around the city while enjoying a mystery performer at each stop. Will it be funny, sexy, crazy or everything in between? Who knows, but there’s booze. Crawling until the 16th February, snag your tickets pronto.

Dali After Dark

Throw yourself off the deep end in this immersive journey through the Dali Land exhibition, with the one and only Briefs Factory. Wander around the exhibition at your own pace as you explore masterpieces of beauty and wonder, no two experiences are the same. Top it all off with a cheeky nightcap at The Surrealist Salon, the late-night rooftop bar. You can still pick up tickets for this Metro City show up until the 17th of this month.

Djuki Mala

Performed by YouTube sensations, Djuki Mala is a dance performance of immense energy, passion, and humour. This indigenous group integrates traditional dance, storytelling and pop-culture in 70 minutes of joyous entertainment. Performing until the 17th February at The West Australian Spiegeltent at The Woodside Pleasure Garden.

El Bizarro

The host of this show alone should make you want to attend this variety hour. Magnus Danger Magnus is a high energy, incredibly funny, sometimes naughty host that will present a platter of Fringe elite. Be prepared to be thrown out of comfortability and into a land of mayhem. Showing until the 17th February.

SPIT

Spit is a one-woman circus show bound to leave you enamoured by her bold authenticity and different approach to performance. Expect trapeze, tight wire and the unexpected. Still showing at the Black Flamingo in Yagan Square until 13th February.

Sugar Blue Shakedown

The ever sublime Ruby Slippers is hosting a glitz and glam Sugar Blue shakedown. Explained as “high class tease and low brow sleaze” you can expect to see some sexy solo’s and gregarious group burlesque. If you like lots of energy and very little clothes, pick up a ticket before 16th February and get down to Connections.
